Glenlyn Hotel is a lovely Victorian house. There are no lifts so if you're not too good with stairs and narrow corridors I'd ask for a lower floor room . My room was on the top floor with a view of the rear garden. A very quiet room. Nice and warm and tastefully furnished. The large double bed had two singles joined together. En suite bathroom was fine. My only complaint was the shower. The hose wasn't very flexible and as a result water shot over my head and went everywhere I am 6'2". Breakfast was very good , lot's to choose from. Breakfast is eaten in the garden room. All in all a good stay. Staff were very friendly and pleasant.
My hubby & I stayed here for 3 nights & absolutely loved it! Great location with easy access to Woodside Park station 5 minute walk which gets you into the heart of London in 20-30 minutes. Close to many restaurants, grocery stores, and other amenities. Free parking spaces right in front which was wonderful given how packed the street parking there is. The rooms are very quiet, I slept like a baby. The traditional breakfast was delicious. The backyard is beautiful with a peaceful garden setting. The customer service was superb; the lady who checked us in & served us breakfast was friendly, accommodating & just a wonderful human being! The bed was comfy. The price is excellent compared to so many other places in London. I've seen comments about 'outdated furniture', & similar complaints...I mean, sure, I guess some of the chairs & drapes, etc were a bit old school. But honestly, it suits the charm & character of the building, & made zero difference in our stay. We will absolutely stay at Glenlyn again if we're back in London!
London secret gem. Stayed here for only 1 night but could have stayed here a week. Beautiful old family hotel. The rooms were spacious and fresh and the lady and checkin was wonderful. Had breakfast in the morning where they make you a traditional English breakfast. Plus the garden was very pretty. Renata was amazing she was so kind let me leave my bags and helped me with my nut allergy!!!
We have stayed here a number of times and every time been happy with the experience. This time it was simply superb! Helpful, friendly staff. We were upgraded to a lovely ground floor apartment and we could not fault it. It was perfect in every respect. We would highly recommend the Glenlyn as a great place to stay. Safety: We feel very safe in this hotel and in this area. Walkability: We could easily trundle our suitcases on the pavement between Tube and hotel. Noteworthy details: Few blocks walk from tube station, few blocks walk to rental car Enterprise. Very close to a good supermarket Sainsbury and a number of restaurants.
Ticked all the boxes for me Great location, easily accessed by car and minutes away from tube. Round the corner from High Street, plenty of shops and restaurants. Nice quiet neighbourhood Large, clean room with all the usual facilities. PARKING Friendly and helpful staff, easy check in/out process. Great communication from hotel before arrival. Hotel was generally clean and well kept. Only thing to improve would be the shower - not very powerful and temporarily control wasn't great.
Lovely quaint family run guesthouse with beautiful gardens, which the dining room overlooks. Staff are wonderful, owner Paul is accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. This is a wonderful, very reasonably priced place to stay, right next to the northern line so access to central London is easy. Definitely recommend.Rooms: 5/5
We had booked double room but were upgraded to an apartment with bedroom, lounge, and kitchen area and bathroom. It was very comfortable with breakfast being served in a lovely conservatory. Breakfast choices were very good and the staff were all very friendly. Would definitely recommend it.Rooms: 5/5

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this excellent hotel in London and could not be more pleased with my experience. The attentive staff and excellent location made my stay truly memorable. From the nicely furnished rooms to the impeccable service, every detail has been thoughtfully taken care of. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the perfect blend of comfort and sophistication in the heart of London.
Very good hotel. The breakfast is great, breath-taking authentic english breakfast, with other options as well. Staff very friendly. Shower and bed good as well. It needs some small repairs but nothing that affects the stay. The only negative point it’s regarding the location. If you come as a tourist - like me, get ready for some long daily trips in the metro, with at least 40 minutes.
