This was probably one of the worst rooms I have ever stayed in. It bore no resemblance whatsoever of the pictures posted by this hotel. We were in Room 13 - take my advice, if you HAVE to stay here, specifically request that it’s not room 13! The room was tiny, the bed shoved into one corner. The springs inside the mattress could easily be felt when lying on it. There was only 1 pillow each. The TV didn’t work well it switched on, but you couldn’t view anything on it. There were not coffee or tea making facilities in the room either. The ‘desk’ mentioned in the description was a tiny drop leaf table, but no ability to raise the leafs because it was missing the slide out supports, rendering it useless. There was also not a chair. The en-suite was very tired, complete with rusty toilet roll holder, the sink was minuscule and seemed to have the added feature of loose taps. This made them extremely difficult to turn on and especially off. My partner would not take her socks off to walk on the carpet! The breakfast was OK basically bacon, mushrooms, beans and 2 eggs I opted for coffee and bizarrely only got half a cup. I asked for fried bread but was told they only did toast. There was a jug of orange juice on the table, but this was whisked away pretty much as soon as we had poured ourselves a glass each. I managed to get this place on some kind of deal that gave me £50 off, so we paid £90 for the night. Would we stay there again? Absolutely not! Rooms: Room 13 was dreadful. See above.
If you are funky, and like to make a mess, this place isn’t for you. The Charlie Hotel is a perfect place for visiting Los Angeles. Super clean and cozy. The Location get you anywhere easily. They have a great protected parking area. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The suites are vintage with great amenities, including a wonderful bed. It’s high rating is well deserved.
Didn't get a great night's sleep due to other visitors slamming doors until early hours of the morning. The bed wasn't very comfortable. I had the room next to the kitchen so I was woken up early. Nice basic breakfast - staff were lovely thoughRooms: 2/5
Exactly what it says on the tin. We just stayed here and it deserves more than 2 stars. Yes it's basic but the service is great, very friendly staff, check in was simple and was given keys, able to come and go as you please with no curfew. Very cheap for London, with free parking! considering the Holiday Inn in Camden town up the road is £350 a night! Breakfast included, was offered an English breakfast, omlettes, toast with jam / honey, tea and coffee and fresh juice. Just a 10 minute walk from Tufnell Park tube station. Perfectly safe area, the missus and I stumbled back from a concert eating kebab at midnight and saw almost no one. Would recommend.
Great place in a very quiet area just a few tube stops to central London. Great service, breakfast and laundry. Kudos to Ramona and her husband for making me feel like home here! Yancho, solo business and leisure traveller
Decent hotel, very basic but fine for short stays. The location is great and the service was good as well. Rooms were very clean but definitely need to be refurbished. If your looking for a quick and cheap place to stay with links to central London and Camden, this isn't a bad option. Rooms: A bit dark and dingy but very clean. Walkability: Very close to tufnell park tube station which is very handy.
Nice location good price for London but could do with some tlc Rooms: Need updating
Just a stones throw from the O2 Forum, this hotel is ideal if you're going to see a concert at the venue. The beds are comfortable although I think the radiator was broken in our room. The bathroom is very small with barely any space and there was mold on the wall. When you turn on the tap it smells bad. But for the price it's good value and absolutely good for a night.
I can't believe all the negative reviews here. People think they can pay £50 a night for a B&B and get Ritz-level service. This place was excellent, provided everything I needed and the most amazing English breakfast. It's family-run and they're lovely and very generous: they told us to take as much juice/coffee/toast as we wanted. This is far better than the ghastly Greene King/Travelodge hotels I've been in that cost a lot more. Totally recommended.
Good for a one night stay. Accomodation: We had a small room with two single beds with an ensuite shower, toilet, and sink. We were given towels, shower gel, and soap. The bedroom had a TV, table, and chairs. Free WiFi works around the hotel. Breakfast: Full English, toast and hot drink. Staff: The staff were very friendly and on request gave us a free drink of coffee and cartoon of orange juice. They leant me a hair dryer. Parking: Car parking onsite hidden around the side of the building. We were able to park for free. Location: Tube is a 10 minute walk for Tuffnell Park. One stop to Camden Town. Recommendations: Tea and coffee in the rooms. The sink was missing a plug.
