Just had a wonderful stay and it was absolutely fantastic. We were extremely lucky to be upgraded for free to the Honeymoon suite and it was a stunning room. Everything was simply perfect from the his and hers sinks to the double shower enclosure and the space, lighting and decor were first class. Well done to the staff as well for being so friendly and professional. There was a prom party going on and we were informed beforehand that the festivities would finish at 12pm. This in no way impacted on our stay and our room was very quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable and had beautiful bedding. If I had one thing to change it would be to have stayed another night and have a hook somewhere high for a brides wedding dress. Thanks for a memorable stay. 10 stars
Just had my wedding there, WOW what an amazing place nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Shannon was amazing though out the day and helped us with every aspect of our wedding. The rooms were spotless, the meals were delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. I would be more than happy to have other functions here as well as staying in any of the rooms. I am a frequent visitor to Glasgow and only wish I had found this lovely hotel earlier. Happy, friendly and incredibly helpful staff. Great breakfast, great choice with a very comfortable clean room. The bathroom well stocked with products and if you like your showers hot and powerful, brilliant after the 7hr journey in the car. Can not rate this lovely hotel enough, situated in a quiet green area where a perfect over night stay was very much enjoyed.
We picked this hotel because it was nearby the wedding we were going to and it was just perfect. Good transport and easy access from the main road. Marc and his team at the breakfast were great, polite and helpful. If I get the chance to go back to Scotland for sure we would go back to the Garfield. Rooms: The bedroom where very well equipped with iron and self service tea or hot chocolate.
Private party for family celebration. Lovely venue, plenty of parking. Enjoyed afternoon tea, sandwiches, and cake. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice venue for a relaxing get together.Service: 5/5
I actually only used this place to crash sleep. Apart from breakfast, I didn’t dine here as I found the hotel menu to be quite expensive. The service personnel, although polite enough, had smiles that didn't quite meet their eyes, almost slightly passive-aggressive. This meant I hurried through my breakfast to get out of there. Another thing one should consider when booking this hotel is that the walk to the train station can be annoying, and a return journey ticket to Glasgow will cost £4.30, which soon mounts up if one stays here for a week. If possible, I would recommend booking in the city centre of Glasgow as it makes things much easier in many ways. Would I stay here again? Only for one night if I was just passing through to a different location. Rooms: I thought the room was okay, but I would expect that a fridge would be included in these modern times; it's a normal thing.
Lunch at the garfield was very nice after having to send back a very cold baked potato. Was given a complimentary drink while waiting on replacement, steak pie was very nice and very pleasant staff, easy parking,would have been a 5star if first baked potato was OK Food & drinks: Food was excellent,
Friendly staff, comfy bed, big room, decent shower, lots of parking. Good food and plenty of choice. Little bit dated in the rooms, but not run down just a bit dated. Would definitely stay again. Food & drinks: Good choice of food, well presented and reasonable value. Extensive vegan options more than you'd expect for the size of hotel which was very much appreciated.
Twice I've been to this hotel and now being a best western member I'm saving even more. On both occasions staff have been really pleasant and helpful, the rooms are well looked after/serviced. Both bar and restaurant offer great value. 2 minutes walk for public transport in to Glasgow. Ask for Stepps Tower, or use Google for doing homework for visit. Rooms: Great rooms area all items you require and more, clean, great shower in en suite. Safety: For both wheelchair uses or less able-bodied ramp area is good. Hotel kept to a high safety standard Walkability: Great walks round about. Bus route and bus stops 2-4 min walk. 38c bus takes you into central Glasgow. Food & drinks: Snack options available upto 5pm,great value and lunch, dinners available are good value, good drinks choice too.
