We stayed here last night just for an evening, was a great deal for £55.00 breakfast and parking included. As soon as you go in you are greeted by who I think is the manager and he couldn't be friendlier and attentive. We were taken to our room which was a lovely double bedroom, very spacious and the shower was amazing, so was the bed, very comfortable and clean. There was complimentary biscuits which was a great touch. In the morning we went to our breakfast, which they offer both continental and full English included in the price which I think is great. The staff are all so friendly and really make you feel welcome, nice variety and English breakfast was very good. We will definetly be staying here again and I had a great night sleep and was very happy with everything. I highly recommend
Hotel is a great location for the international ferry port. But that's not all this place has. The owner/manager was super welcoming as soon as we walked in. The room was great. Heater and fans provided in the room. The bed was really comfy and had a great night's sleep. The shower was hot and powerful. The cooked breakfast was great. Really nice toast.
Customer service outstanding. Facilities could have been cleaner. Overall stay. Standard. Room looked like it wasn't hoovered. Bath had old hairs in it and behind taps as if wasn't cleaned. Cups in room heavily stained with drip marks on outside. Bed was comfortable. However. 2x singles put together which felt a little awkward when in the middle. Apart from these. Me and my partner had a good night sleep. Breakfast was pretty good but not outstanding.
From the outside looks pretty derelict but it has the normal amenities of a decent lodge. Its a place for those who want a cheaper acommodation and can accept an old feeling . The guy who is responsible for taking care of the guests is a good person and help you with everything you might need. The room where we were guests was pretty decentwithout kitchen, but still you have small table where you can eat if you buy food from the outside with clean bed sheets and usual soaps and towels and also some coffe and teas and the bathroom was like new but it might be improved a bit on account of the water taps. The lodge could be a bit noisy sometimes when there are more guests but all in all was pretty quiet and you can have a decent sleep .
Stayed overnight for a boxing event in town, it was freezing outside and the room was lovely cosy and warm. Don't be put off by the location it's really nice with plenty of free parking in its own car parks. Room and wet room both very nice and the breakfast cooked while you wait by very nice friendly breakfast staff. I fully recommend this place to stay and would definitely stay again. We'll done to breakfast staff Best in a long time.
On arrival the hotel looked dingy and door was locked prompting us to worry if the hotel was open. That said we were greeted with a friendly welcomes and a warm beverage. The room was clean and basic. Though there was hole on bedding, shower didn't work and no hot water. Our friends were in the next room so we had to use their shower- theirs was very weak and small - hubby going last ended up with a cold shower. Breakfast was ok but had to request cutlery. Girls working here were friendly but manager was a little rude. Feel little work was done in preparing for guests and ensuring rooms etc are adequate Wouldn't stay again unless improvements were made
Stayed 14/7/18 1 night in a premium double £95 breakfast included. Was good value for money a little noisy from the main road traffic and very hot in the room otherwise clean and comfortable with all the required amenities in the room. Staff were polite and welcoming breakfast was 5*
The hosts are really nice, the rooms simple and filled with tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Sometimes the kettle or the fan are not working and some rooms smell musty. Also, the road is so close that this is very noisy and it can be hard to get sleep. But facilities are fine and it is useful to be very close to the port. A decent deal.
Best thing about this hotel is that there are very friendly staff members working there who were very helpful at all points through my stay. I did struggle getting the shower hot however and I think the breakfast was just average. However, pretty good value for money for a one night stay overall.
Room was very comfortable, well equipped and a large lovely wet room.Reception were very helpful.Carpets had been hoovered but needed cleaning throughout. Full breakfast but presentation left a lot to be desired, scrambled eggs were burnt, sausage looked like it was yesterdays reheated and bacon was burnt.
