Would not stay here again total dump. No ligh shades, marks on wall. Bathroom tiny with cracked tiles on the floor. Not worth the money they are charging.Rooms: 1/5
Great budget hotel. Perfectly functional and in a great location. The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Exactly what you need for a simple place to stay to see the wonderful city that is Portsmouth. Everything in walking distance and the parking on the doorstep is reasonably priced.Rooms: 5/5
This is a no frills budget stop over. Can't give it 5 stars as there is no food available on site. This shouldn't trouble you as there are plenty of quality offerings within walking distance. At the top of Albert Road which has a mass of eating and drinking establishments and is home to the famous Wedgwood Rooms. Osborne Road and Palmerston Road are similarly lively and a £5 taxi ride away, or walk. Our room was clean and comfortable with a great shower and the TV reception was spot on. Friendly reception, suggest you book direct.
I had a very bad experience, the staff very rude and the man at the reception was drunk and not very polite.
The room was nice for an overnight stay. We were given room 3, at first it seemed a little small but turned out to be fine size wise. The bed was two single beds put together so there was a gap in the middle but it wasn't that much of a problem. Parking can be found on nearby streets or on the dedicated front drive which costs £5 a night. The owner was very laid back and friendly, and staff seemed to be okay but I didn't see much of them.
Very basic but clean. Parking was like playing tetris. Could use a bit of updating and the telly could have done with being secured to its wall bracket correctly law suit looking to happen! you have to leave a £50 refundable deposit on check in that wasn't explained to us on booking. Overall it was average. For the money I would have rather stayed in a travel lodge.
Left waiting outside on arrival for quarter of an hour. Stains on bed sheets. Kept up all night by drunk guest coming back in the early hours & fighting. No staff to be seen any ware. Staff sour faced in the morning & not even having the common decency to reply to "Good morning". Very limited parking getting blocked in by other guests double parking. Great!
I think it's time that the owners of this establishment started to put some of the money their getting from guests back into its up keep. £100 for one night in a room with not blind on the bathroom window, No toiletries and a guess how it works shower with more hair in the plug hole than I wish to think about, no bin in the room, no bed side lights or cabinets, very badly stained carpet and a net curtain that was grubby and had blood stains on it. The free WiFi didn't work and there was no staff around to report it to. And why do you need to leave a cash deposit before your given your keys? I had paid in full before I'd arrived bad mistake.Staff were pleasant and seem embarrassed when I brought up my findings. Get it sorted or sale it on, don't just run it into the ground.
The pictures are deceiving. It is not even a 2 star hotel. The carpets, the quilts and the mattress needs replacing. There was only a small amount of hand wash and no other supplies only toilet paper. I can't think of anything to recommend.Rooms: 2/5
Following your complaint we have done our investigation and found out that the room was deep cleaned prior to your arrival and since it was a twin room, beds have been moved in order to turn it into a double plus single .As we know from Adrian he offered you, as a gesture of goodwill, immediately another room that was free for you to check and use ,would you decide that you need to stay. Therefore ,under these circumstances we cannot refund your booking ,that was unrefundable under the terms and conditions that you signed and as it is stated also in the email that we sent to you.So we concluded that the object appeared in the room during your stay hence our impossibility to refund. Best regards Thaya Hi We were very disappointed to find a used sexual implement Under our bed we discovered this upon searching for my wife’s wedding that had fallen down there We spoke to the host Adrian got in contact with his manager Who told us he could not refund as the cash we have paid him but we had to go through this channel which I am now doing we much awaited this holiday and it got cut short due to this although offered another room we had lost all confidence as we already slept in this room with this item accessible to all of our children this was very unsettling and very shocking For us we were also made aware by a neighbour that you had recently been burgled which is also very distressing in total we stayed under 24 hours paid a total amount of £160 cash on arrival and £20 to reserve the room with my wife’s bank card . I sincerely hope you will refund us in full for this most dreadful event and abrupt ending to our holiday please correspond as soon as possible kind regards mr Johnson
