The service I received was excellent from start to finish. I was warmly greeted and efficiently checked in by Afi, who went above and beyond to manage my expectations throughout the process. What stood out most was her gentle, warm, and reassuring manner. Her calm and compassionate approach immediately put me at ease and made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived.nnI received a thorough assessment from Aleck, and was exceptionally well cared for by Priscilla, the nurse.nPriscilla's professionalism, thoroughness, compassionate manner, and ability to build an excellent rapport with her patients were truly outstanding. She made me feel comfortable, informed, and genuinely cared for throughout my visit. I felt incredibly fortunate to have her looking after me.nnThe entire process was completed quickly and efficiently, without compromising the quality of care. Priscilla demonstrated the traditional values of nursing—kindness, competence, dedication, and attention to detail, which are greatly appreciated and, sadly, seem to be becoming less common in today's NHS.nnThank you to Afi, Aleck, and especially Priscilla for taking such good care of me. Your dedication and professionalism made a real difference to my experience.
The waiting is more than A&E. The service levels have significantly dropped. Even parents with toddler waiting for more than four hours. I don't see it's been very busy just super slow. This walking centre opens from 8am to 7pm, however you will see notifications board saying they have reached capacity at around 4pm. There only one GP, good number of nurses and two receptionists.
It is the second time I’ve been, first time last year was quite busy waited for a few hours, however, it was worth the wait. Peter, one of the nurses was very kind and professional! Recently, the wait was shorter, receptionist was very efficient, triage was fairly quick and the nurse was very kind and helpful : The overall wait was about 1:30h.
I cannot thank Dr Bhakti Upadhyay and the team at Edgware walk in centre for the exceptional care I received today- and to my surprise , the waiting time was shockingly better than I expected!nnI was triaged by a lovely nurse who was kind, professional and reassuring. She immediately made me feel at ease, and I really appreciated the compassion she showed from the very beginning.nnI attended with severe lower back pain and muscle spasms that had become so debilitating I was struggling to bend, stand up, walk and even carry out simple daily tasks. Dr Upadhyay listened carefully, examined me thoroughly and never once made me feel rushed or dismissed. I felt genuinely heard throughout my consultation.nnWhat stood out most was that she went above and beyond. She understood how much the pain was affecting my mobility and daily activity. She also took the time to explain everything clearly and ensured I understood the treatment plan before I left. The level of advocacy, compassion and initiative meant so much at a time when I felt exhausted and overwhelmed by the pain.nnAs someone who also works within the NHS, I understand first-hand the pressures that healthcare professionals face every day. I wish every patient could receive this level of care every time they seek help. I appreciate that this isn’t always easy within an incredibly busy NHS, but it should never change the standard of compassion, empathy and professionalism that patients deserve.nnI always strive to provide the same level of care that I would hope to receive myself, and today I was fortunate enough to experience exactly that. Dr Bhakti Upadhyay is a real credit to the NHS and a wonderful example of truly patient centred care.nnThank you for treating me with such kindness, dignity and respect. Your professionalism and genuine compassion made a very difficult day so much easier, and I am incredibly grateful.nnWishing you all the best in your career!
So bad, 4 hour wait for an incompetent service. Triage was quick, however too many people just chilling here with minor ailments. Serious issues should be prioritised swiftly.nThe smell was atrocious I had to leave due to to the unsanitary conditions of the waiting area. People here are dirty coughing and splutter everywhere with no shoes on and eating curries in the open. Smells like a sweaty gym.nI will never return. Please just go A&E at northwick
