Delicious food in an immaculate setting. High quality cheese, meat. The truffle fondue, beef, potato raclette were divine. The chocolate fondue with its thinly sliced fruits was pure delight and perfect finish. Good wine pairing with a dry and fruity glass of Riesling. Friendly staff. Best reserved for special occasions though as it is on the pricy side though, like it would be in Switzerland I guess :
Visited for the first time for my wife's birthday- dinner was booked by our kids. Very nice and interesting food. We tried and shared two types of fondue and raclette, tried starters and desserts- everything was very tasty. Great way to share food!

Brilliant Restaurant!!! Excellent fondue, outstanding wine, staff is really nice and helpful. All wine recommendations were a perfect fit to the fondues. All the time busy - better to book a table in advance. There is no other place like Edelwise in Dublin - I love this restaurant!
Came here with my girlfriends on a Saturday night. Had tasty cheesy fondue, air dried beef, chocolate fondue. Along with a nice bottle of riesling. Everything was excellent. Service was especially nice as they regularly made sure our fondue was stirred properly, when we were too distracted. Definitely recommend!
Do you ever think that we Irish have an odd relationship with cheese? We put it on a cracker after dinner and think "Ooh aren't we posh". It's the lactose version of a ferrero roche. Well the Swiss took a different angle in that they saw cheese and whilst making clocks and excellent chocolate thought "why not melt cheese, dip things into it and make a delicious meal"? So they did and you know what? It is a-mazing! Edelwise, based in the centre of Ranelagh, is one of the greatest culinary discoveries that I have made recently. The fondue is delicious I'm getting braver with the strengths and just.... wow it's so good, the wine selection is perfect and the staff clearly know their stuff about all aspects of the meal. The restaurant isn't too loud, the desserts are exquisite and frankly unless you don't like cheese you owe it to yourselves to pay Edelwise a visit. Trust me and you can thank me later ;
Perfect all around and highly recommended. Unusual but authentic Swiss food that tastes great. The fondue will take all evening to eat and you'll love every bite. Also try the deserts! Absolutely stellar staff that is incredibly well trained and attentive. Don't use your nicest clothes though, since the fumes from the fondue tend to stick around. ;
A very nice Swiss restaurant, small enough so the owner is able to keep the quality of every option to his high standard. The flagship experience is the fondue, with options that include a delicious Swiss cheeses and black truffle fondue shown in the picture, ~30€pp, as well as other versions varying from milder cheeses to beef. Very nice selection of wines, carefully selected to match every choice available from ~7/30€. No beer is offered, unfortunately. For dessert you can choose between a few Italian/Swiss options like the very tasty panna cotta or share a Swiss chocolate fondue. Full meal with beverages and desserts for 2 people ~100€. Keep in mind this restaurant will likely close by March 2019, as the owners are starting a new project in Sligo and couldn't guarantee the quality of both venues simultaneously, sadly closing the restaurant. So enjoy while you can.
Love this place. Very authentic Swiss food. They pair the cheese and wines well. Best desert I've had in Dublin in a while!
Great restaurant! Best fondue by far in Dublin! The service is impeccable! Always treated with the utmost respect from the owners..they are very friendly but most importantly accommodating and will always provide you the honest opinion of what to have! A must in Dublin! 3 years coming here and never disappoints! :
