Great menu options. Better beer options. Typical given that it's a Tavern. First stop for us after landing in Dublin and it was good first pitstop before the pub crawl. Loved the craft chocolate stout
Cool city centre bar. Close to the National Concert Hall and The Sugar Club. Background music is noticably interesting and varied. Hardly surprising give the manager pedigree as a DJ and band leader. Nice selection of beers; I had some very agreeable draft Wheat Beer. And then there's the spectacular tiered spirit pyramid behind the bar. Almost like a shrine to alcohol. I am told there's a great music session upstairs on a Tuesday night. Loved the place, and will definitely be back to check out the music session.
Wow. Not just a great bar but an amazing kitchen. From drinks to small plates to dinner to dessert, we thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Service was impeccable too! A great way to end our weekend trip in Dublin.
Really cool Bar. €5 before midnight and €7 after. Lots of old school rnb and hip hop. More new school stuff from 1:30am. Toilet smell downstairs. But great crowd. No cocktails at the bar but service is swift.
Very chilled out with and east going staff, bit of a hipster vibe but that's oksome of us like that. Food is very good. I'd love to see this bar on a bigger scale as it's a little pushed for space cause of the great location but still great for a few casual beers to start off your night or stay and have an easy going one
Great selection of spirits & for the most part at good prices versus other establishments. Takes cues from many famed bars around the world by having a stepped backbar which really is something to behold. Usually not too quiet and a good place to meet friends.
I held a Leeds Legends night a while back and the venue was ideal for the event upstairs. Nice stage area and between sitting and standing catered for a little of one hundred people. Will definitely use the venue again for future events.
I have yet to enter this pub and receive a friendly welcome from the food service team. I popped in yesterday to see if I could grab a quick bite before a work event. I politely asked If there was a seat available for one person and honestly i was barked at and told i could sit at the bar. When I enquired about the empty seating, yet again, I received a rude, blunt comment about it being reserved before the girl turned her back on me. If there is no room that's fair enough but learn to speak to people with respect. It seems like a nice cosy pub with a great selection of drinks, pity some of the customer service is so poor.
As a Guiness connoisseur myself i was very surprised to the standard of the pint in here. It was even better than the brewery itself, perfectly cold, creamy and held its texture the whole way through. Then we ordered some tacos which were outstanding too. Unlike most food serving places theres no salt, pepper, vinegars ect on any of the tables as there really is no need. the tacos were delicious, chips with them were like crisps best chips ever! And what topped it off was that you could clearly see that everyone wanted to be there, all staff were jovial and chatty, layout of the place really highlights a passion. Great job guys :
East Side Tavern is a great little spot just off St Stephen's Green. Unlike some craft beer joints in Dublin the pub is not too bright on the eyes but has one of the most spectacular spirit shelves I've ever come by
