The food here is SO good. The service here is SO bad. Seriously the waitstaff here have no idea what they're doing and it's disappointing because every dish here is delicious but after the service I had I'm not really sure I want to return. Management needs to consider firing every single person on the waitstaff and hiring a brand new team that actually knows what they're doing.
Great food. Fantastic wine. Service was inattentive though. Despite us being only one of two tables we repeatedly had to stand up to get the servers attention. 17 Nov 21
Super friendly staff, excellent vibe playlist, lighting, cosiness..., The food was tasty and well presented, we tried the Pork chops and the Cod and we were delighted. We were seated next to the open kitchen and we couldn't help than notice how clean and organized the team is. We totally recommend the place!!!
Long overdue review. We had the early evening menu. Onion soup was very salty. Informed the waitress but she didn't respond back to the kitchen I could see that as I was sitting directly facing the kitchen. What is the point of even asking how's the food and when someone genuinely give an honest comment. Had the Ox cheek for main and I am 100% sure that it caused me food poisoning. My partner and I had the same meals throughout that day with the only exception of the beef. Had a terrible food poisoning the next day and wasn't the best experience travelling back to London. We were given a table right next to the stairs. Which I found very annoying and unhygienic at the same time where the shoes were right next to my face as customers going up and down the stair as I eat. Please see photo. I would rather spend my money else where.
A slice of perfection, had the early bird great value for great food. Lovely vibe between kitchen and restaurant as well great music. A wonderful winter soup, duck was so a delight as was the cod and two yummy desserts. And what’s more you might get on street parking. Enjoy.
Really nice and cozy place. Food is amazing, one of the best duck dishes I've ever had. I highly recommend Camden Kitchen, you won't regret from starters to desserts. I will definitely be back.
Food: 4/5 we got multiple courses including starter, main, side, and dessert. The starter was salt cod croquette. It was decent, however the croquette itself was a bit dry with the best being the squid ink Mayo. Main was the duck and beef cheek, both of which were a little dried out and we were disappointed. Side was a salad and honestly that was the better part of the meal. Dessert was a panini cotta, crème brûlée, and passion fruit mouse. The panini cotta was the best while the passion fruit overpowered that dessert. Keeping the food off the heating element until serving would be best and slight tweaks to the recipes would make this 5/5. Environment: 5/5 very cozy and welcoming insight. Ambiance was warm and felt like everyone belonged. Wait staff was very nice and knowledgeable and worked with a few of us that had allergies. Cost: 4/5 a little bit on the pricier side, but that’s what to be expected for a Michelin recommend restaurant. To be clear, this is not a Michelin starred location.
Had hake, cauliflower, crème brûlée and chocolate fondant - all above standard. Good service too. Note American Express is generally not acceptable in Ireland.
Nice atmosphere. Creative, artistic presentation but I found my fish dish very salty. Dessert of hazelnut and whiskey "tart" was dry / overcooked and underwhelming. Don't think I'd return - I think you can get better value elsewhere admittedly you are paying for the Michelin recognition
Very nice restaurant located in Dublin just off Camden st. Service was good but the food was delicious , if a little bit over salty on some dishes. This is a problem I have with some restaurants who season the food to suit the chef's taste, which might not suit the customer. After all, everyone is different. However this would not stop me returning as it was a very enjoyable evening.
