We have a variety of accommodation for you to choose from including single rooms and family suites with complimentary free WiFi in all rooms. We also offer international direct dial phone, LCD colour tv , complimentary tea and coffee making facilities and on street parking available by voucher system (£2 to £6) per day.

Full Scottish breakfast is included in our bed & breakfast rates, starting from £24 per person per night. Our great value rates include our renowned taste of Scottish breakfast with smoked kippers, haddock, haggis and potato scones included on the menu together and our extensive cold buffet, served in the new conservatory style breakfast room overlooking our lovely patio garden.

My overall impression of the Victorian House is positive. It's a local establishment rather than a large international hotel chain, offering accommodations near the university in Glasgow. The premises are well-maintained, and the room lives up to its described amenities. The staff is friendly and approachable. The location is convenient, with a 20-minute walk from the train station, though keep in mind that it's mostly uphill if you have luggage. The pricing is reasonable, and you might find better deals by booking online through portals. Breakfast is available on-site, but there are numerous alternative options within walking distance, particularly in the direction of the university. While there's room for improvement, a simple suggestion would be to add signs in the corridors. This minor investment could greatly assist guests. If you're seeking a room solely for sleep and a university meeting, this establishment provides a suitable solution.
Great location and friendly staff but lots of problems with our room and amenities. Broken window in room the window wouldn’t close, so had to leave it open all night Beds aren’t stuck to floor properly so they move during the night and you can end up slipping down onto the floor when it moves to far away from the wall. Shower is like a coffin and built for shorter people because the shower head was so slow I kept hitting my chin of it and had to bend down to get my head under which was like doing gymnastics when your in a tiny shower cubicle, bathroom gets absolutely flooded when you use said shower also and the showers look to have not updated equipment since 1980. Breakfast was nice the one day we were able to eat it but on the descriptions it says breakfast is at 7:30 but apparently on weekends it’s at 8 and unfortunately we had a bus tour at 7:45 on the Saturday so we couldn’t make breakfast and they couldn’t refund us for the breakfast we paid for but that wasn’t being cooked on the time we thought. So if your paying for breakfast make sure you’ve looked your plans or schedule.
The rooms was nice and spacious but the bathrooms was not to standard. The shower drainage was blocked and flooded the floors.the breakfast was okay but no real vegetarian options although the kitchen staff was lovely.Rooms: 3/5
Cannot complain, less than 200 for 2 of us for 3 nights. Very clean, spacious rooms. They are basic but have everything you could need. Beds are super comfy, showers are hot and powerful. Staff are really nice, kind and inviting. Will come again.
Not for anyone with any kind of disability. Had to haul luggage up 4 floors. If you book, be certain to ask about location of the room. Room was very basic. No drinking water offered. Bathroom was minuscule. Towel provided but no washcloth. No shampoo .Rooms: 1/5

Although I got a shock when I walked in due to ongoing renovation work happening currently, I was very pleased with my room. The bed was gigantic and so comfortable, the room was large and clean. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The breakfast is fantastic and has such a large choice, and the coffee from the machine is delicious. One negative is that you do hear lots of outside noise/other guests going around duringvthe night. I would definitely stay there again. Prices are reasonable, I hope they stay low after the work is done!
Regular hotel. Good for the price. Clean rooms. Old rooms that need some love. Good wifi. No breakfast buffet, they gave us a little bag with a green banana, apple, apple juice, a really sweet bread and a toffee yogurt I think. The breakfast could have been much better. The picture was the view from my window.
Found this lovely hotel at the last minute. Wasn't expecting much of a room for £39 but I was very surprised upon arrival. Lovely clean room, a decent bed a little too hard for me but perfect for my partner. Quite area just of the main road,Staff are very friendly & couldn't do enough for you especially Muhammed, he advised us the best place to get some food & his recommendation was spot on. We stay again when in Glasgow
Great location, there is building work going on, our room was basement level and there was 1 step that was without carpet and was crumbling away. Room was spacious, bed was comfy. The range of breakfast items for the price was amazing. And it was really busy, which is a good.
