Lovely pub and the food is excellent. Staff are welcoming and very polite. Some great beers on tap. Well worth a visit
Sybil of Fawlty Towers lives..strange place, granny knitting by the fireplace, very chaotic if you are not local they do not welcome you, also seems to double up as the village crèche - oh how times are a changing at the inn.. mores the pity as the food looked really enticing but being offered a table the size of a postage stamp next to the crèche and the serving hatch was a bridge too far
Absolutely perfect hosts and meal. So fresh and tasty. Very welcoming even though they were super busy. Thank you xx
We celebrated my late mother inlaws life afyer her funeral at the Duke of Cumberland. The team were amazing in helping us plan the event & were even more amazing on the day. The food was great, everyone ejoyed the delicious buffet & hot drinks along with a very reasonablly priced bar for the area. Our dogs where more than welcome which was a great relief & the staff were really lovely. We will be sure to come back soon for lunch or dinner. Thanks so much!
V friendly staff, lovely ambience, good food reasonably priced. Kids menu available. Pizza oven not always open on quiet nights
Used to come here 20+ years ago, only just started returning. A really nice village pub! Service was good, loads of drinks to choose from, cocktails on tap too, priced really well. A recent beer festival would have been great but couldn’t make it. Plenty of outside seating, kids play area, will be returning many times in near future
Fantastic traditional Turkish food. We enjoyed a grilled chicken kebab and a delicious lamb doner kebab. The food was excellent and very tasty with large portions, served by friendly staff. A good selection of drinks including beers and ciders such as Neck Oil and Old Mout Cider. Located in a quiet little spot next to the village green, The Duke of Cumberland is suitable for all including families with plenty of outside space. The Carte Dor ice cream cones also looked delicious.
Food was very tasty. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was great and made for a really pleasant birthday treat
Honestly the best pub grub we've had in a long while. Lovely friendly welcome, and absolutely delicious food. Great experience. Thank you very much.
Excellent Sunday lunch. Very friendly staff, great service, and generous tasty food.
