We held a Wake at this lovely country pub. It was excellent and professional. Everything and more was provided as promised, nothing was too much trouble and the food was outstanding. Thank you so much to all at The Black Robin.
Lovely meal. 17 people and all meals hot, well presented and very tasty. Staff were pleasant and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Highly recommended. Thank you
Just got back home after an amazing Sunday Roast at this homely pub located in the beautiful village of Kingston on the edge of the Elham Valley. Amazingly breathtaking scenery ! The food was deliciously delightful! We had pork loin, cracking, black pudding, cabbage, cauli cheese, honey roast parsnips, carrots and roast potatoes very generous potions ! The home made ice cream was super duper too. We tried the peanut butter, double chocolate and honeycomb flavours. The young girls serving us were lovely, so pleasant and helpful. The inside of the pub is v cosy and nicely decorated however, the garden and the patio area can do with a bit of TLC. Thank you to the staff of the black Robin for an excellent afternoon & Sunday Roast. We will be visiting you soon to enjoy your yummy Burgers too!
I visited this lovely village pub for the second time with my wife, three children, and my wife's mum & dad. We all had three courses and were thoroughly stuffed! Amazing roast dinners, which portion sizes, were great size dinners efficiently catering for big men. Another great point is they do not insist on a poxy service charge! You tip as you feel; we tipped £15.50p, and it probably wasn't enough considering the service and food—great pub, with great food, lovely and cosy with a log burner set.
Cosy pub with exposed brickwork throughout. Decent selection of hand pulled ales. Will return.
Love this place! Very cosy place with beautiful garden. Delicious food and mainly affordable. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend to visit.
Great pub named after a famous highwayman who worked the area and what is now the A2. Average drink prices. Haven't tried the food yet. I have now had a meal at this pub and I can say that it was very good. Service was good with smiley staff. I partook of a pint ot Beaver Town Neckoil, very nice. 8
This little place is a gem! Off the beaten track a little but we'll worth a visit. We booked a Sunday lunch and were reserved a table in a comfortable position. The dinner we chose was roast beef and came with roast potatoes, Yorkshire, broccoli, carrots, cauli cheese, cabbage and was delicious. We didn't have to wait long either which was good as we were famished. We also had deserts, again, very good indeed and I can personally recommend the salted caramel chocolate pot. The staff were polite and attentive and answered all our questions as 2 of us have special dietary requirements. Excellent service, prices very reasonable and we will certainly go back. Thank you once again Black Robin team
Best chips I've had all year . Seriously 10/10 chips. Lovely pub for a quick afternoon stop for a couple of hot drinks and of course chips!
Beer served at a temperature that allows you to taste it. Scotch egg of outstanding quality ! Will return to further sample the menu.
