For lunch and dinner, there are lighter bites, with deli deal options and vegetarian choices, gourmet burgers and freshly made pizzas. For the price, the room is not bad -Clean! Dinning: the food is very affordable. The fish & chip is not bad for the price. Steak is not great! Friend ordered medium rare but it was over cooked! Drinks price is great! Breakfast is acceptable. Service is acceptable.
Afternoon visit, just for a drink.. So a typical Wetherspoons, with yet another unique carpet. The bar staff were friendly and pleasant. The drinks were typical 'Spoons', always great value for money. The toilets were clean. We were lucky to sit at a table outside, which was great as we caught a glimpse of the sun. However, there appeared to be many unkempt people coming and going, using foul language; it seemed a bit of a haunt for them to gather. We also witnessed a young girl collapse and hit her head we had seen her drinking but not sure what happened. Surprised there was a suggestion for a taxi to be called and not an ambulance. Pleased staff eventually assisted and Police were called. The Manager on Duty was abrupt, rude and unprofessional and had we not have experienced her, we would have liked this pub. She has put us off returning.
Spacious and stylish interior. Upstairs lounge is for App orders only which is a great idea - no-one hanging around the bar! We are there on 2 visits and the meals were fresh and delicious. Great staff.
Like all weatherspoons, very well priced. This restaurant was clean and tidy, plenty of seating but can get a bit busy during lunch time it is Canterbury full of students. Food was lovely and service has always been quick regardless of busyness.
Came here with my student son on Wednesday at 4.30. Pub was packed with mainly people out on Christmas functions lots of sparkly outfits. My son ordered via the app. He indeed chicken burger, I had fish and chips . Food arrived quickly. Was piping hot and generous portions. We also had the unlimited hot drinks . Total spend just over £15
I love the fish and chips. Always fresh.
The steaks here are always a solid 10/10, there’s lots of seating and I usually find it to be quite clean compared to other weatherspoons I’ve been to. The food here in general is SO much better then the one in herne bay and Whitstable and gets delivered to your table quickly too which is always a good thing
If you’re a woman, do not go here. It’s known girl code that it’s safer to visit the restroom with a buddy, but the bouncers here will accuse you of having intercourse, berate you, and kick you into the cold street just for wanting to pee safely. What a joke
Nice spoons nice staff especially the one is ice skating
Great staff, great food and drink. Toilets were spotless until I went in there. Fantastic bar star and amazing front of house staff. Never seen people work so hard. Love this place.
