we had a wonderful stay at this hotel in london. the hotel looks very elegant and everything was extremely clean. our room was beautiful and very cosy.nnthe staff was super friendly, attentive and welcoming throughout our stay. the location is perfect – right next to the underground and very close to the train station, so the transport connections are excellent.nnwe also loved the atmosphere. soft instrumental music was always playing in the lobby, perfectly matching the elegant and peaceful interior. it created a calm and beautiful ambiance from the moment we walked in.nnthe bar and dining area are also really lovely. we can’t complain about anything and would definitely recommend this hotel!!
Visited for the Wicked Afternoon Tea for Two as we had been gifted a Virgin experience voucher.nnThe Clermont is well established and a beautifully presented hotel.nnThe main hall for dining is very airy, modern and cosy. Very comfortable seating and well spaced out.nnThey had also a wicked theme around the fireplace which was a great touch for the occasion.nnWe had a lovely window spot, and the table service was flawless and very attentive.nnThe cream tea itself was a lovely selection of finger sandwiches and cakes, which was plenty to fill the two of us up! We enjoyed all of it.nnProbably the best Cream Tea we’ve had in a long time, and the wicked theme with the smoking cauldron was a nice touch.nnHighly recommend.
After enjoying my stay here in 2021, I decided to return due to its excellent location.nnWe arrived slightly after 3pm and were initially told our room was ready. However, about five minutes later, a receptionist apologised and said the keys would be available in 30 minutes. We ended up waiting over an hour with two young children before finally checking into a first-floor room facing the main road. To acknowledge the delay, the manager kindly gave our boys a teddy bear each.nnA very friendly room service staff member helped us set up the sofa bed in what was a very small room. Despite our comfy pillows from the menu, we had little sleep due to traffic noise, despite the double-glazed windows.nnThe next morning, after explaining our experience, we were moved to a larger room on the fourth floor. While this was appreciated, the carpet had visible stains. The toilet was tiny and had poor ventilation, with peeling paint around the window seal.nnWe had turned on the “make up room” light, but when we returned around 3:30pm, the room had not been serviced. The housekeeper apologised, explaining she was very busy and said she wouldn’t have capacity to clean the room, but kindly offered to remove the rubbish and change towels at my request. Reception later informed me that housekeeping service should be available until 6pm. Eventually, the room was cleaned when we arrived back later that evening.nnOverall, the location is excellent but based on this experience, I wouldn’t be rushing back.
Old-fashioned service, comfort, ideal location, only downside not accessible for wheelchair users as the entrance and exits are all stairways. I had a delightful day the staff really care about their guests. Everybody was charming, helpful polite.nThe bed was really comfortable. The room was lovely and despite being near a station And the hotel being very busy, I heard nothing in my room apart from the slight rumble Of the traffic.
I always have an amazing stay here. Great location.nEvery team member you meet is exceptionally kind and helpful.nnBig thanks for Florina and the rest of the reception team for always being there for each guest. Nothing is too much trouble for them.nnBreakfast team are also super friendly and just make the trip to London that much more special.
