I had a very successful shopping trip to DFS in Ipswich in May 2024. The staff were super-friendly and patient and took the time to talk us through styles and fabrics. The showroom is well-organized and has a lot of stock, everything from classic to modern to something your granny might like. We had to make a couple of visits to make sure the sofas would and to finalize colors, but really happy with the choice and the price and found the place excellent value for money.
Have ordered a corner sofa from DFS Ipswich, and we are now awaiting delivery. During the ordering process we dealt with two salespeople called Tina and Owen, both of these people were excellent. Both Tina and Owen were very patient and were more than happy to offer the CORRECT advice for my needs. Fantastic staff, the shop is laid out very well and the in-shop atmosphere is excellent.
Went to buy a corner sofa for my daughter salesman called Markus, at Ipswich store,very nice man. Went through all the details of what sofa we wanted. We ended up buying a corner sofa for my daughter. Very knowledgeable. Salesman went through all with us , How to look after it? How the warranty is and about the delivery. Very good salesman 10 out 10 customer service, had such a good experience last time. Coming back to buy another sofa corner sofa for my son it's the third sofa of bought from my children and I'm very happy with DFS Ipswich
Kevin's customer service was brilliant throughout, gave us a very detailed overview and answered any questions we had, overall a top bloke, we will definitley be back again in the future

Sofa delivery was a very unpleasant experience. Saw the men out and closed door, but they then let themselves back in and used toilet without asking. Not the sort of people you want in your home. Complained to DFS but they didn't believe me.
Do not trust them, we purchased a bed from them with a ten year warranty, cost £1500, they don't want to know if you go back to them with a complaint, even contacted Mammouth the manufacturer who also didn't want to know.Bed only 4 years old, edges of bed collapsed, even worse when there are 2 people in the bed, you feel as if you are sliding apart to the edge. They will send out an independent technician with his ball off string, don't fall that trick, he didn't even check the centre off our mattress whis is where the problem is, he will send back a false report to the company, they will then tell you they have to abide by his decision, I am still fighting to get them to honor there warranty.
Always nice customer service, you get left alone and no one is trying the hard sell.
We paid £50 delivery charge to get two chairs and a sofa delivered. As my mother is elderly and just come out of hospital from a knee replacement operation we thought it was easier to get the items delivered, fitted together and working. However the delivery people were unable to assemble the reclining chair as it was too technical for them. Simply propping the loose back against the wall. Great result for my 78 year old mother when she returned from hospital with my sister who has learning difficulties. Absolutely rubbish service, we then apparently had to wait three weeks for a technician to come out and repair the chair. A few days later when I returned from abroad, I managed to put it together in under 10 minutes. Maybe I should get a job with DFS, assuming they are not insolvent yet. TOTAL INEPTITUDE! Do not buy from here if you value customer service! Their customer service stops straight after they've taken your money - no accountability for faulty/unsatisfactory products. They'll sell you a item perfectly fine, but if you have any issues with it you have to jump through hoops to get it satisfactorily addressed - even if you paid for their so-called 'protection plan'.They don't have a store phone number only a national 'customer service' - basically so you can't speak to the store that sold you the item to deal directly with your issue. Have had multiple call outs for the same faulty item and STILL not up to standard months later in fact there are parts of the product literally having fallen off due to poor manufacturing.
