I’ve recently joined this surgery after moving to Leicester, and have had amazing service every time. The reception desk have always been so helpful and phoning in has never been any trouble or hard to get hold of like most of my past experiences with doctor surgeries. At first I was nervous about changing docs due to comfort of my childhood doctor surgery however it is one of the best decisions I have made. I also had a informative experience with Dr/Nurse Kesha… she was very welcoming and professional at all times she even put me at ease about any questions I had regarding my visit which were answered very thoroughly. Thank you for your service DMU surgery.
Brilliant doctors surgery. I used these for a good few years. They are faster at getting appointments than other surgeries. The staff are nice. And they have an online appointment booking system which you can set up by going into the surgery. Would recommend if choosing a doctors.
The worst experience I have ever had with a doctors surgery - repeatedly. I've had an extremely aggressive and dismissive 'manager' on the front desk tell me to leave - without stopping to let me explain that I had been instructed to come in. She then loudly questioned me and pushed me to explain my personal medical issues in front of a full waiting room in a truly belittling manner. I've also repeatedly called on a Thursday or Friday for really important medication, told I would be called back, not being called back, and therefore having to go the weekend without. For the love of god, go somewhere else. While some of the doctors are really great, the management and front desk staff make it a thoroughly unpleasant, uncomfortable experience. If you are looking for mental health support, definitely steer clear.
Had an appointment today with the mental health nurse Sarah, I believe and she was amazing. Put me at ease, talked through all the options available to me, and not once did I feel rushed. It really felt like she listened, empathised and understood what I was saying. Sarah was friendly, professional and exceptionally helpful during the appointment which I was originally dreading as I struggle talking about my issues generally. She helped by referring me for therapy, gave useful general advice and also booked a follow up appointment which I wasn't expecting but is very welcome. I couldn't be happier with the appointment today and cannot praise Sarah highly enough. I'd also like to thank the smartly dressed receptionist who was helpful to me both in person and when I've called about prescriptions and medication reviews.
Went there feeling absolutely horrid with high fever, had to wait for an hour and a half to be seen, only to be told 'you're doing everything right, keep it up!', without prescribing me any medication. Upon visiting another facility I was finally prescribed antibiotics. If you're ill don't waste your time, you're probably taking much better care of yourself than having to wait for ridiculous amounts of time just to be told 'good job'
Reception- very Good. Foreign Doctors - Rude and no empathy at all. Horrendous service ! This time the doctor was mocking me as I was describing my situation and was impatient to hear. May be she was upset to see someone right after her lunch break ? My wife also complained during her pregnancy as she was treated badly. Don’t know who’s the Manager of this surgery and how they’re managing to keep it open ! Terrible. Have some sympathy, we’re not getting treatment for free. Some of us do pay taxes !
I am really pleased with how De Montfort Surgery deal with mental health. Through my medication journey I've had full support over the phone or at the surgery. I've been with this doctors for a couple years and have always been treated well, so I'm happy!
Called at the start of November regarding a rash which I’ve been seen 4 times and passed the same steroid cream every time. They said I need a phone call with the dermatologist, 6 weeks later she rings & says she doesn’t know why I’ve been assigned a call as she needs to see the rash I did specify that it should be seen when booking the call They couldn’t see me for another 6 weeks which would take it to January 17th. At this point the rash is over half a metre long, I rang again as I haven’t slept in days and they said “the dermatologist is on the walk ins 8-10”. Unsure to why nobody could be bothered to tell me before I arrive at 9am, it’s now 11.50 and I’ve left still in horrible pain & unseen. The worst doctors I’ve been too, you’ll be better off self diagnosing
Fabulous surgery. Have referred other relatives to this surgery. Great team and they’ll always do what they can do to help! Thanks to Joanne Burrows for sorting out my new medication query!
I honestly think this surgery is amazing. I get looked after and within good time. The dr that I saw today was ultimate. People should be grateful we have this service and this is one of the best
