We stayed here for the location, which can't be beat--5 minute walk to Paddington Station. We were 3 in a triple and expected the room to be small, which it was--but due the layout, there was nowhere for suitcases, other than in the walking path to the bathroom. No insulation between floors or rooms, so we heard every movement in the rooms above and around us. The bathroom linens were lovely--far above average for a budget hotel. The WiFi was terrible and cut in and out so much it was basically unusable, which made it difficult to check in for our flight and do the typical research on dining and other options in the area. Would be impossible if you needed to do any work. Despite AC listed as an amenity, the unit in our room did not work, and the room was quite stuffy. Front desk told us only some of the rooms had working AC and provided a fan, which was appreciated, but the fact that it's only available in some rooms should be made known up front. And despite earlier reviews, do note that this hotel no longer offers breakfast. Others in the area at a similar price point do, so take that into consideration when booking. Rooms: Quite small. Beds for 3 but no space to put suitcases Nearby activities: Less than 5 minute walk to Paddington Station
Hotel room is small but i am able to place 2 large bags comfortably. Room is clean. Towels provided is thick and clean. I can hear subway trains running by at times but the sound is soft and quiet enough as not to affect my sleep. Plenty of restaurants around - some. Indian restaurants are super good. The hotel is well kept - the view out of my room's only window is neat and tidy. The staff at this hotel is helpful and cheerful. They are the highlight of this hotel. They were happy to hold my bags for 2 days prior to my check-in albeit for a fee. They stored my bags securely. The hotel is in a great location, close to the Elizebath line and runs directly to LHR airport.
Overall a decent experience. Unfortunately, was assigned a room in the basement. This, the vibrations from the subway underground was very prominent and unpleasant. Furthermore, the rooms non-AC struggled from lack of ventilation. However, there were clean bathrooms and decent room itself. Staff however were very friendly and offered help at all times. The location is also amazing, with many restaurants, stores and transit nearby. Will stay here again if given a better room Rooms: Was left in the basement. The vibrations from the subway underground was very prominent. Clean bathrooms and decent room itself. Stuffy room. Nearby activities: Easily access multiple tube lines and bus options.
Give an overall three stars primarily because of the hotel and room design, it was stuffy, without elevator and not much space for anything..the space in the room is small but not properly optimized either, coming from Japan and used to small hotel spaces, I’d say the room design is much less than ideal. Water pressure was not good and the lack of airflow made 20 degree days felt miserable, can’t imagine if the temperature gets higher during summer. Getting up and down the stairs with luggage and recently injured ankle wasn’t ideal either, the carpet on the stairs made the climb much harder. If you have knee or lower body joint issues be careful weighing your choices. Besides the hotel room itself, every staff member we have met were exceptionally nice and helpful, and the location is excellent right next to Paddington station.
Perfectly reasonable hotel for the price point. The owner, Colin, and his team are very friendly and knowledgeable. Very easy check in. Room was small and basic but clean. Bed was comfortable. I had the most basic room and it had everything I needed but you wouldn’t want to stay any longer than a night or two. There is a lack of hanging space for clothes just a pole with some hangers. The location is perfect for visiting London. It’s minutes from Paddington station, close to some lovely local restaurants as well as some well known restaurants. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room upstairs as we were on the ground floor and could hear the underground trains underneath us every few minutes. Walkability: Very close to Paddington and Hyde Park
Service was exceptional from Mehdi. Yes the room was small however it had more amenities than rooms we have stayed at with a similar price point. There were vibrations from the tube but it didn't cause disruption to our sleep. Overall a pleasant stay.Rooms: 4/5
Comfortable but small, and I mean small rooms. Nice price for the location. Great if you just need a place to crash and grab a shower. They could use a few shelves and other things to put things. Located steps away from Paddington Station and in the middle of everything. A great place to start your journey in London. I would stay again. Rooms: Small. Not for really big people. Fine for a single, not too large person. Safety: Felt safe. No issues. Food & drinks: Tons of food within a few steps from the front door.
The hotel is the most practical, good, and beautiful, and Mehdi is the kindest person. Everything is perfect. I really recommend it and would return. It's ideal for when you're in transit for a few hours in London. When you need the practicality of being just steps from Paddington, this is definitely the place.Rooms: 4/5
Very conveniently located, near major subway/metro terminal. The hotel is very clean, the staff is very helpful and accommodating and the prices are reasonable. My room had the Ensuite bathroom and washroom nevertheless I'm not too sure if most of the other rooms had that, or were to  share. The room size was quite acceptable, mind you it was at a sub grade level, which is a common case around London. Room was extremely clean and with a double N.American size bed, fridge and TV. No soap/shampoo can purchase nearby, but plenty of new looking clean towels. The comute is a breeze and very reliable. Around the corner there are tons of food, drink and services options. I find the area safe. I'd say it is a quite convenient choice for a 2-3 night stay.
The people at this hotel were really nice and the location is great right near Paddington station. Unfortunately the room was so small and so hot. We couldn’t open our bags properly as there was no floor space. It would only be okay if you had a small carry on bag but we had very large bags as we are abroad for a while. I found the lack of air con unbearable as it wasn’t hot outside, quite cool but the room had no airflow. There was a window but it led to a courtyard thing where there was no airflow… I ended up staying elsewhere with aircon and more floor room as I found it unbearable. Good for a place to stay if you don’t care about that, not for a holiday where you want to be comfy.
