To preface this - I was having really bad jet lag when I stayed here, so a bit of sleep deprivation… Location is perfect because it’s next to paddington station. The service was absolute hell. When I got there, there was a comforter on the bed but no flat sheet? And only 1 flat pillow. So I called down to the front desk to ask for more pillows which was quickly responded to by asking me “why do you need more pillows?” The whole point of a hotel is to act as a place for you to stay and sleep. Don’t you want your customers to have a good nights sleep?? To top it off, the AC/heat wasn’t working when I would turn it on. So I went down to the front desk to ask about it. They have a locking system they can manage from the front desk, so they locked my rooms ac/heating. So even if I turn it on in my room, nothing will change. I struggled to sleep and around 1am I went back down to the front desk to find that person that denied me service wasn’t working the night shift. I asked for them to change the temperature in my room and for more pillows, which with a much better attitude, the man complied. I don’t have names - but fire the dickhead and give the kind gentleman working night shift a raise. The room itself was tiny. Can’t really be too critical with this, all I needed was a bed and some sleep. Walkability: Less than a 5 min walk from decent food and the train station
It was very clean and quaint. Breakfast was great. A little small and tight but if you are intending to be out almost all day. This place is great. It also had a small refrigerator and the staff was very nice and helpful. THANKS BEST WESTERN. Will be back again!
What a pleasant experience for one night in London! The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. A friendly and helpful staff greeted us. The location was ideal amongst a row of other hotels near Paddington Station.Rooms: 5/5
We stayed at Best Western Plus Delmere Hotel April 26-May 2, 2024. It was a great experience. First, the staff was welcoming and friendly. They were efficient and met every need we had with a smile--this is so important when traveling to a different country, to know when we return from a long day of sight-seeing, we would be greeted with such a kind welcome. Second, the housekeeping was outstanding, everything clean and sanitary. The breakfasts were an excellent way to start the day, so we would highly recommend anyone planning to stay here to take advantage of it--eggs, varieties of rolls and breads, yogurt, fruits, cereals and even pancakes if you request. The room was small, but exactly what we needed for the week, USB ports by the bed, daily towel changes, daily room cleaning. We were also extremely impressed with how quiet it was at night, making sleep very easy. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to Paddington Tube station, which is a major hub in London and easy commute to the sights we most wanted to see. For all of these reasons, we highly recommend this hotel and commend the staff working there.
We loved our stay here! The staff were so lovely and helpful, speedy service and good recommendations. The breakfast was impressive with many options for food and drink. The room was clean and comfortable, renovated nice hotel in a convenient beautiful neighborhood. Thank you!!!Rooms: 5/5
We liked the hotel very much. The location is perfect, with many decent restaurants and pubs in the direct surroundings for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel is located in a quiet street, next to many other hotels and it is quiet at night. Our room was on ground floor street side and we kept the window closed, and airco ventilation worked perfectly. The decoration of the hotel and room is modern, stylish, and the room is equipped with some very useful features, including a standard European wall plug, wired internet connection, usb-A wall plugs and digital touch controls for the lights and temperature. WiFi connection was stable and very fast. Staff was friendly and the room was very clean. I have to say that we booked a small "cosy" double room but we received a free upgrade to an "executive" room directly upon arrival. They told us this was their largest room. In other reviews I see complaints about the size of the room, which obviously was not an issue for us. The bathroom and shower were still small but due to the intelligent design comfortable to use. I would still recommend the hotel even if the room would be smaller. Very good value for your money compared to other hotels in the area.
Location is really good, less than 10 minutes from Paddington station. Room was really small, no fan, very warm, also quite expensive for the room size but probably due to the location. Service was just about ok, not a lot to say about the staff really, not chatty, not very friendly but they were not rude and they were efficient enough.
Many London hotels, like other hotels in Europe, are constrained by their historical architecture. I've been in so many such hotels where the rooms are the size of a shoebox. But the Delmere is so modern and efficiently designed in comparison. The lift is modern and reassuringly dependable. My room was well lit and had air conditioning, something that would be most appreciated in the summer. If you research the other hotels along this street, you will easily see that the Delmere is superior. It's conveniently located to Paddington Station and good restaurants. In fact, I had the best Indian meal ever nearby. In summary, compared to similarly situated hotels, the Delmere is the one to stay at.
Recently renovated hotel with fantastic room interiors near Paddington station and Hyde Park at a decent price. I stayed i a small, cozy 1 bed room which was of very high standard and fresh. High quality bathroom with shower and extremely fresh interiors. The staff are nice and polite and there is a dining room and a small lounge area. It's a bit off from the main attractions near Oxford Circus and Covent Garden, but if you don't mind walking or taking the tube, I can recommend the location. Considering the location, maybe the room was a bit expensive, but then again, so is London and I struggled to find a better interior in a better location for a lower price. Rooms: High quality, recently renovated and refurbished rooms. Walkability: Easily to walk to/from. Especially close to Hyde Park and Paddington but quite a walk, some 3-4km to the city center Covent Garden, Westminster, etc..
What an amazing time we had at the Best Western Plus Delmere Hotel. With convenient location, luxurious and comfortable room, great breakfast, and lovely staff this stay was everything we needed! Thank you again for making our stay in London so great! 10/10 would recommend.
