Perfect position. 1 min Paddington station and in a lively area with a few pubs and restaurants. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly and attentive. Our room was a bit small but very comfortable indeed. I recommend it
Chrysos hotel is a really average hotel with very small rooms, extremely expensive 195 pounds on a Saturday and 65 pounds on a Sunday. WiFi was not working and no fan or AC in the room. When I wanted to checkout earlier the hotel charged me for 1 day. The reception staff is good. Breakfast was good. But overall one of the really bad stay experience I ever had .
Although the location was good because it was by Paddington station, this hotel is very run down and had absolutely no amenities. It was so hot in our room and the beds were so cheap and old you could feel the springs. Our room was between floors so we had to lug our suitcases up or down a flight before catching the elevator for the rest of the way. The shower head was completely worthless. Also there were no outlets near any mirrors so I couldn’t actual see to curl my hair. I had to go to a mirror and get a piece of hair and then go to my curling wand and curl it without looking. The free WiFi was absolutely worthless since the reception was so bad it was virtually unusable! We booked this hotel because it was rated 3+ stars, so boy were we surprised when we got there. It is a 2 star at best!
Nice Hotel in Paddington area, really close to the station but quiet area with good infrastructure. The room was tiny but had all I needed. Friendly service, I loved to chat a bit with the maids, they are really nice!
Reception staff is rude. Rooms are small and old. There is no proper heating control in the room. If you ask this then reception staff will give you looks and rude reply. There is no safety lockers. Breakfast is poor as there was no hash browns, baked beans. I was personally disappointed to make a bad choice and apologies to my family for making such a poor choice.
Great location. 2 min walk from paddington station. Close to big bus tours stop. Very clean and the staff is very nice and helpful. They answered any questions we had and suggested some great places to eat. Breakfast ends at 9:30 and consisted of tea/coffee, cheese, meat, yogurt, toast and cereal. Our rooms were cleaned daily our items untouched. There is no adjusting heat or cold. The only downfall is the WIFI is VERY slow choppy to none. Overall great stay I would stay here again if the WIFI was faster.
Very friendly staff and breakfast was quite decent for the value. We also needed a cot bed which the staff happily provided. The furniture is quite old, the tv is minuscule, matress was quite worn and pillows a bit stiff but everything else was clean and sanitised. Room was very very small for a young family with 1 child but overall warm actually hot and cosy.
The place has a perfect location, close to Paddington both the train and underground Stations. If you are on a limited budget this is the perfect place but if you can afford more this is NOT the place to be in. The team is very nice, helpful and willing to do anything that they can in order to make our stay better the reception in front desk and breakfast room. Only one thing was disappointing and it is the lack of internet in the room due to some known problems they are facing this issue was NOT brought to us during the room reservation and NOT during check in on top of that this issue is NOT public domain. Since our order indicated that there is free Wi-Fi in the room, we requested a solution but they could not deliver. After a formal complaint to the management via Email that also did NOT resolving the issue, we have decided to bought 2 SIM cards of 15 & 10 pounds so that we would not need to sit in the lobby for Wi-Fi. disappointinglly, our refund request was refuse.
Great stay. Nice and cozy. Clean and comfortable bed. Tea and coffee in the room + breakfast. Not to mention the friendly staff. What more could you ask for?
Great Location next to Paddington Station , very easily accessible. The rooms were in good shape and the staff were more than accommodating. I would not hesitate to make another reservation at this location again int he future. The price was good and its in a good location if you need to get to other parts of the city with a minimum of fuss including Heathrow and the Underground plus numerous bus stops.
