Room was in basement. We reserved a triple room with 3 twin beds. There was about 9 inches between the beds and the wall. Between the last two beds there is a tiny TV on the wall that sticks off the wall about 6 inches making it very difficult to even get to the third bed in the room. The air conditioning in the room was not working, but the air conditioner was dripping water all over the floor making a puddle which was a hazard when trying to squeeze past the beds to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The air conditioning being broken made the room terribly hot and difficult to sleep. The hallway was about 20 degrees cooler, but the window to the hallway was sealed shut. The beds were all on wheels on a laminate floor, so they would move easily when you leaned on them. The bathroom shower was small and did not drain. So the shower overflowed onto the bathroom floor while showering. We were given one small towel each and no hand towels or wash cloths. It was a pretty miserable night after a long day of travel. However, the location was easily accessible from Paddington Station and the Elizabeth line or Heathrow Express from the airport. Rooms: TINY is an understatement. Couldn’t even move within room with 3 people. Walkability: Easily accessible to multiple busses and Paddington Station
Tiny room, poor cleanliness and couldn’t even fit into the shower! Corner shower with broken rollers and even when we managed to push them open we couldn’t fit into the shower to use it. Rain shower meant couldn’t wash anyway and drain was slower than the flow of water. Saving grace was that we had air conditioning which apparently not all rooms had… Location was ideal for our purposes and there was a bed, only upsides that could be found here unfortunately.
Clean rooms, great location, friendly staff. Rooms are a little squishy, but did the job. Serviced daily. Family if 6. We had 2 x triple rooms. Recommend to families. Rooms: Small, but clean, serviced daily. Nearby activities: Tube, buses, parks. Walkability: 1-2 minute walk to shops, food, Paddington train station, buses. Food & drinks: Plenty of places to eat and drink walking distance.
Okay so, I know this hotel is cheap. So my expectations are already low. You can have a cheap room, but hygiene should never be skipped. And sadly this hotel skips out on this. Moldy yellow bathroom, dusty under the beds that I found someone else’s socks and glasses. Room cleaning was minimal. They throw new towels on the bed. The heater was broken and stayed on in the heat of summer. Imagine sleeping with this. The staff tried to help, but why did the maintenance guy come with his wife to my room as well? That was weird. They were kind and wanted to help, but for me this hotel is a big no. Safety: Lack of hygiene
It was the worst hotel room! The room was small/tiny. I booked 2 triple rooms so we could have more space but they gave me 2 doubles instead in the basement! The agent at the desk said this is what we got and thats that. They overcharged me for both rooms and charged me for parking. 1 room had ac but the other did not. They provided dusty fans! Not happy at all.
Was allocated this hotel for a work event. It's tiny, we booked a triple room for myself and my colleague and was glad we did, we managed ok as it was bigger than the others, can't imagine what a double / single is like. Our room was clean and didn't have the issues with unclean sheets etc but I didn't look at the mattress. If you leaned against the headboard the bed rolled forwards! The room was hot but there was a fan in the cupboard. I think there were some things about the room that would not pass a safety inspection, hence 2 stars; the socket near the kettle had a piece of plastic in one of the outlets and the cable from the towel rail into the wall had an exposed earth cable. The shower was OK Grohe but the trap for the waste was missing which just looks disgusting. A clean and a bit of silicone around the shower tray would make it smart and 100% better. These are easy fixes and to not do so is lazy and shabby. I would never choose to stay here myself. The location is fantastic so maybe a choice if you're on a very tight budget, as long as you don't electrocute yourself! It seems the operators take zero notice of these reviews beyond saying they'll try harder, which they clearly don't which says it all tbh. Just lazy.
PLEASE READ **IT WAS THAT BAD WE ACCEPTED THE FACT WE HAD LOST £150 AND LEFT THE HOTEL AND COME HOME*** Man on the desk wasn't very helpful. The room isn't big enough to swing a cat, I had to sit in the bathroom so me and partner wasn't sitting on each others laps. The bed which was suppose to be a double I've seen bigger baby cribs. CAN I ADD IM 4FT 11IN AND EVEN I FELT CLAUSTROPHOBIC Paid for parking which wasn't a problem, but refused for refund even tho we was only there 20mins and got charged 20pound for 24hour parking. Went and asked for a bigger room and we will pay the upgrade price to be told to wait until 11pm to see if any one else turns up and if they don't then we may be aloud a bigger room they wanted us to sit about and wait until 11 even tho this was at 730pm we physically and mentally couldn't stay in the room. The pictures are more than misleading than they look i mean my kennel for me dogs are bigger than the room. Would of been better of in a tent with the homeless on the streets. I couldn't even compare this to a hotel or bed ans breakfast more like a hostel. Never again will they get my money and considering the location I did expect different and better
It's has been a few weeks since we came back...and I really wanted to take a minute and reflect on the stay at this establishment before sending the review. The room and the building condition is the worst - we were moved to the room on 4th floor where the elevator wasn't working and the staircase is small to get around...imagine the climb up there with your bags and kids. In the room, you can see the dirt and dust everywhere, we slept in our clothes because you don't want to see that mattress without the sheets. Additionally, every flash of the toilet in the neighboring rooms, people talking or doors closing you hear like it is happening in your room. The service I only rated 2 instead of one because they moved us to a "better" room, where the first room option was in the basement with the broken windows and cold air siphoning through the cracks. The location is great, however, close to the center, many shops and cafes and parks...good neighborhood and a shame that such place is located in this area. I have stayed in other areas of Europe in the two star hotels, so my expectations were aligned...but this experience was below those expectations.
very nice staff, the rooms were nice, clean and always tidy. If you only stay in London for a few days it is definitely enough : Greetings from GermanyRooms: 5/5
I would like to make a serious complaint with reference to this hotel. On arrival I was allocated a single room and my two daughters a double. My daughter’s room was absolutely disgusting - the bed sheets had stains on them. The mattress sheet was stained also. Their shower had hairs all over it the floor of it. One of the towels had hair also stuck to it. I immediately went to reception where a guy apologised and said the complaints would be addressed. My room was almost similar except for the towels. We went out on the Friday expecting this to be sorted on our return. No it wasn’t. The girls hardly slept all nite due to loud noises from adjacent rooms and above them. I also had a sleepless nite on Saturday due to very loud noise directly above me and from 6am whether it was cleaners I’m not sure. We checked out and I advised again the girl at the reception desk and she apologised and said she would speak to whoever is responsible. A very weak excuse and I’m now en route home with two daughters exhausted and very deflated that this has happened. I would seriously like a full refund as these issues should not happen in this day and the fact nothing was done about it makes me very angry.
