Me and my family went for Christmas hoping to get away from the rush that we experience every day by living in London. We could not be happier and this was far our best Christmas ever! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the hotel couldn't be any cosier, beautiful little lounge and nice and well kept rooms. We stayed in the new family rooms and they were clean and spacious. The food was very tasty, the bar had a nice view and board games which kept the children happy. I highly recommend this hotel, I came across with families that have spent Christmases with them for years and I can see why. Can't wait to go back!

Bedroom was newly built in an extension to the main building. Bathroom was spacious with a slipper bath and large shower. Bed was comfortable but only a double in size. We paid £10 extra for an upgrade for each night we stayed. We were led to believe it would be a four poster room when we booked the accommodation. The room was very nice but not what we thought we had booked. The restaurant was the area that let the hotel down. The food was very mediocre. Bacon was cold at breakfast. Only apples in the fruit bowl at breakfast. No bananas or other fresh fruit. Only tinned. Dinner was poor on the Sunday night. Limited choice. Staff were attentive. My only issue with the staff was an older guy not sure if he was the restaurant manager or the owner. His attention to detail was very poor. He kicked chairs out if the way! instead of pushing them back under the table. Didn't place napkins on the table but practically threw them on the table. The restaurant wasn't that busy so he couldn't say he was rushing. Only spoke to certain guests not to everybody. If they sorted the restaurant out the hotel could be brilliant. It's location is really good. Good views from the restaurant.

A very pleasant experience, the hotel is going through a refurb, which does not interfere with your stay. It has old world charm with modern facilities, excellent food & good service.

Staying for three nights with partner and baby. Lovely views from our bedroom, which also contained tea and coffee facilities, a television and very comfortable beds! A travel cot was provided for our son. The leisure facilities were great, with swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. The breakfast was okay, buffet style full English so some of the food was quite dry from being under hear lamps too long. Excellent service though!

Very friendly staff, food and service was amazing, clean rooms with ample facilities for a short break. Spa was clean and well maintained. Amazing weekend break with my partner.
