Spa was amazing! A really relaxing experience, the small details making it even better Amazing friendly staff showed us around, gave me a robe slippers and locker key. Plenty of places to sit in peace, access to water and tea/coffee. Pool, jacuzzi, aromatherapy room, sauna & steam room, outdoor hot tub. Places to relax, towels available all day. Facial was tailored to me after a chat... lovely experience and not pushy with the products. Quiet relax room was awesome, chance to wind down after treatment with a smoothie shot, glass of water and flapjack. Definitely a very high standard of premises and service, a real treat.

Had a lovely meal at Armathwaite, the food was great, but the price and surroundings are very taste dependant. Paying circa £15 for a burger is always difficult to justify, it is just a burger after all? And eating lunch at a table with 12 other family and friends, but having other people sitting around us in dressing gowns is a bit weird. Everyone likes a spa break, but in a world where nice restaurants require you to dress for dinner, I'm not sure when it became ok to sit in a restaurant in a state of undress? Maybe I'm getting old. The Christmas decorations were lovely though, Armathwaite always dresses itself for the occasion when it comes to the festive season.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful! We've chosen this gorgeous venue for our wedding this summer and can't wait. Everything about it is amazing, and the staff there are so attentive and friendly!

Really nice spa hotel. Outdoor hot tub is a winner. Classy restaurant, and a good bar for free dinner drinks.

Fabulous afternoon tea with a fantastic view! Staff lovely. Even brought my forgotten cakes to the car for me.
