My son and I arrived at Crook Lodge with all his luggage after six months at school in England, and the B&B where we'd booked in York was mysteriously closed. Fortunately, we stumbled into Crook Lodge and Brian who made us extremely welcome for three nights. He helped with luggage, directions, recommendations, and made us feel rescued after a long day of travel. We couldn't have done any better, no matter how far in advance we'd booked.
