We have just returned from our stay in Alcuin lodge and we would highly recommend it. The location is excellent, only a 5 min stroll through beautiful gardens and you are in the centre of town. The host was so welcoming and very helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were so comfortable and spacious. We hope to make a return trip.

They were very helpful and considerate of our needs (despite this changing!), including having a decent vegetarian alternative for breakfast. The rooms and facilities were excellent and perfectly presented.

Overall Alcuin Lodge made me want to write a positive review as soon as we'd gone.

A really great place! The host is super-nice and prepares a very good breakfast each morning. My room was very cozy (but big enough) and the place is not too expensive. I highly recommend it!
