Went in there to grab a birthday present. There was a girl about ~6 years old getting her ears pierced, sobbing and saying she didn't want it while the person doing the piercing pressured her. Her mum was ignoring them both. I didn't get the lady's name, but she had a manager badge. I'm not a parent, but i would definitely avoid this shop
We use to love going to Claire's and picking a few bits up.. But the prices are just simply too high.. Not worth spending the extra when we can find what we want for better prices elsewhere..
Unorganised management, if you’re looking to work here just don’t the manager is clueless and the store is a mess!
The lady in the shop was not a good worker she should get her self trained and also understand she need to treat everyone fairly rather than being horrible to some. My 1year 8months old daughter she refused to pierce making all sorts of excuses and telling us parents what we need to do and how to look after our daughter. She said I will not touch that kid as she doesn't fit in the requirements needed to pierce her ears. That was a rude comment my poor daughter started to cry from then on all the way and I got fed up and left that shop.
I took my daughter to get her ears pierced. Devon, the person helping us was brilliant with my daughter, very attentive, making her feel very at ease and couldn’t have been more helpful. Thank you Devon!
Customer service is very essential to every organisation or business but what I experienced today is very bad. I entered their shop with my face mask on and in filling their forms and asking questions on how to fill the forms I dropped the mask under my nose only for one of the workers there told me to put it back on which I absolutely agree with her. But here comes the problem where by the people we came to meet in there were not having face mask on and they were served and left,another customers came in and were also without face mask and were being attended to. I left and gave them a call and was trying to explain what happened and to my surprise the lady who picked the call and I believe was the same person who told me to put on my mask said I was shouting at her and the people she was attending to are her family and she hanged up the call. Sorry to say this, but we all deserve to be treated equally
My daughter loves this place, I wish they wouldn't let it get so over crowed as it's a small shop and with loads of people inside it, it's difficult to look at stuff.
A little spendy, but delicious fun items a girl is drawn to. I purchased a flowered purse and still adore it. I'm the only one who has one. It makes me happy to look at and carry.
I’ve had no end of problems with my ear piercings. I paid extra for the gold plated jewellery and the stones fell out as soon as I got them home. When I went in to exchange Sue the manager was so rude. Not just to me, but also to my boyfriend. The fact that she advised me I didn’t necessarily need to sanatise my hands before changing over to the new earring tells me everything about their lack of knowledge on new piercings/wounds. I had my ears pierced at the other Peterborough branch and had to contend with the peircers long acrylic nails. All the staff seem to be wearing them for some reason, even the ones doing piercings. This made the experience so much more painful for me and I’m a grown woman. I feel sorry for the children going in there being prodded about by those things shortly after having a piercing. All in all it’s a 1/10 from me, I feel robbed. I have since discovered that F Hinds do piercings with solid gold earrings that cost just as much as the cheap gold plated earrings at Claire’s Accessories. Not only that, all F Hinds staff are professionally trained to carry out piercings by professionals, whereas Claire’s Accessories only have to have one member of staff professionally trained, this staff member then trains the their staff within the branch - SHOCKING. F hinds also only charges you for the jewellery you ask to be pierced with, not for the piercing or cleaning solution - they are completely FREE. The so called three week healing solution at Claire’s is an absolute joke and does work half as good as theirs!! Fuming that I bought two bottles of that over priced junk.
Disappointed how expensive Claires has become. Looks exactly the same as they did 10 years ago. Maybe time for a refresh?
