Coffee OK, their standard roast is a little too dark for my taste, though it's less bitter than some. They used to have a nice blueberry muffin, but now sell cheaper to make filled muffins stuffed with corn or sugar syrup that they call 'compote' - not nice at all. But after that it's a chain of coffee houses like any other.

One of the nicer Caffè Nero stores in Manchester. Biggest problem is it not being wheelchair friendly - there is level access through a side door, but it opens into a very tight space and there's no automatic opener on it. Instead, there's a doorbell to get the attention of staff (who are always busy due to the minimal staffing levels that befall coffee shops & their unwillingness to spend anything more than the bare minimum money. With the crazy profits that the company makes, it would be an imperceptibly small cost to fit a door that opened when a button was pushed.

Whilst this is part of a chain I do enjoy this particular outlet. The staff are generally friendly and the service is very good. It can get very busy particularly on a weekend afternoon and some of the soft furnishings could do with replacing or cleaning. However it’s central location close to the Midland Hotel and the Metrolink Station in St Peters Square make it a great place to meet friends.

Pretty much your standard Cafe Nero. Nothing exceptional about it, but has nice drinks and a decent atmosphere like most coffee shops.
