The lack of shelter is irritating. There's a small amount that covers only the doorway. So the seating is in full blaring sunlight or in soaking rain. As previous reviewers have mentioned, the ticket office is usually closed and the little cafe is open until everyone uses the station

What a dump... If you can go to another station do it! this one will make you feel so depressed, there is no staff most of the time, the ticket machine hardly ever works and it always smells of urine on the stairs, there is a waiting room but it has been locked forever, once in a while people do smash the lock off and you can actually get some heat and light which is always left on it seems just wasting money/electric.

Ticket office is usually not open and there's only the one ticket machine so make sure to get there early during busier times if you need a ticket. Café on platform one for coffee and light snacks.
