A relatively small station that is tucked away but has great connections to London Waterloo 40 mins & Woking. Parking is rough tarmac and is unfortunately managed by NCP. Payment is via App ONLY, but is affordable £5 for 24hrs. They have taken the decision to split the car park into three separate areas. If you get these confused then you risk getting a fine, even if you've still paid with good intentions. I believe it's completely unnecessary as they're all the same pricing and the whole area is pretty small. It's just to confuse people if you asked me. The car park numbers seem to be sequential as you drive in - NCP Car Park #1 location code 900147 is the first one on the right as you turn in, I believe Car Park #2 is the tiny area directly outside the station building, Car Park #3 is the overflow area further along. There was a station warden on-duty when I visited for both my outbound & late-night return journey for additional peace of mind.
Lack of shelter when raining, no where to sit when it rains. When it's hot weather station reeks of eggs,very old very un kept . Would be nice if there was a toilet or somewhere to sit when it rains
It could do with some refurbishment and shade, just in case it rains. Parking is available and remember walking the stairs with no lifts for the disabled.nnTurn off: A Member of the public smoking weed and on the platform, the staff wasn't bothered as the weather was too hot to care.
The lack of shelter is irritating. There's a small amount that covers only the doorway. So the seating is in full blaring sunlight or in soaking rain. As previous reviewers have mentioned, the ticket office is usually closed and the little cafe is open until everyone uses the station
If you’re waiting on a cancellation or delay as usual There are no facilities so visit the tea bar in the triumph car park. Generous portions and good value comfort food.
