agreed with negative comments. there is no shop , no lift, no passenger assistant.
Bare bones station that honestly feels like it's been built on a strict budget, even for the time period. No step free access or any decent facilities whatsoever, a few ticket machines and only staffing seen are in the mornings.nnSeating and shelter are inadequate at best and don't fully protect from the rain and wind which is fun. What a rubbish station.
As far as stations go.. this one has only 1 useful thing which is a canopy.nApart from that.. no shop, no taxi, no lifts, long stairs.
Lacking in facilities.nNo toiletsnNo access to those that can't make it up the stairs unaided.nOutside of the London travel zones so an adult Travelcard costs £17.90 Oct 2019
Hersham is located in the town with the same name and is used by Southwest Trains. Hersham is a terrible station. Not only does it not have staff, the station is gritty and smells, the station only has two benches on each platform. I recommend using Walton-on-Thames instead.
