Went here on a rainy Tuesday afternoon. Fantastic food and staff. Great atmosphere. Only one point from a fellow chef and catering business owner. Non of the staff / chefs in the kitchen were wearing any kind of uniforms? Chef whites ? Not even aprons. Just looked like they were working in there standard clothes. Again tho very good food and very tasty burger !!
Went for lunch today with a friend for the first time. Food was excellent, delicious and very well presented. Lovely old place with open fires. Pay a little more but well worth it. Excellent service from the friendly and welcoming staff. Plenty of parking.
A table of 10 of us went for a Sunday roast. The service was excellent and the food was great. All meals were served together and tasted freshly cooked with good sized helpings. The staff were really friendly and efficient. Definitely recommended
Nice location, friendly owner/manager at bar on entry to pub. Unsure why it's listed as a Hotel on Goggle as firmly a pub with rooms. At time of visit and for the entire 3 hours extremely cold in the bar area. Staff attempted to keep log fires going but given the size of the pub the heating really needs to be on. Noticed a large group across bar eating all taking turns to stand by their closest fire and leaving their food. Noted a side door by the fire that on-site contractors were using regularly which dissipated heat. There was some good music playing but we could hardly hear it given the kitchen had hard-core rap playing constantly and at full volume.... Noticed several teen staff behind the bar browsing phones and watched several groups call across to say thanks upon exit and staff just stared at them as if they were taking in another language, odd. All in all a nice venues but definitely needs constant attention and a re-think on heating
The Sunday roast was cold I sent it back only to receive another cold dinner without a Yorkshire. They bought the Yorkshire pudding out and it was burnt. The apple crumble tasted like cabbage . I asked for a glass of water that didn't arrive. So no I will not be recommending this restaurant.
Had a lovely evening at the Bull with friends. The food was excellent, the staff were very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend any one to book a table and enjoy an evening out there.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Bull on the 3rd September 2022. The food was incredible from the 3 course sit down dinner and the evening buffet. Everyone was so full and commented on how gorgeous the food was. As for the staff well what can I say… they made the whole reception so easy to organise they ran the pub with ease and was so accommodating to all our needs, from my brideziller moments to keeping the drinks flowing throughout. Communication was effortless with staff the owners everyone! They pulled out all the stops had freshly planted flowers outside and even sourced a microphone at last minute for our speeches. I cannot recommend them enough for any function. Or just a dinner out with friends. They helped make our day one to remember and everyone who came loved it. So a massive thank you from Mr and Mrs Bailey xx
Curry night at The Bull. Really good curry, fantastic presentation and super staff. Loved the individual lemon meringue pie for desert. A first class evening all round.
