Fabulous gastro food and a friendly service make this pub an excellent choice
Wasn’t planning on going, just out and about and decided to stop, and glad we did. Proper country pub, great food and friendly staff. Two garden areas and a pool table too!
An old building that dates back to 1490, incorporating an original dwelling and coaching house buildings. Good selection of beers and food. Friendly staff.
Really nice pub! Historic building with beams, prompt and friendly service, sunny gardens / outside space and decent selection of food and drinks. I didn't have a dessert, but they probably let it down slightly. Nowhere near enough chocolate in the fondue and the brownie wasn't soft or moist. That said, I would return to try the other food options.
Lovely pub. Sat in the delightful shaded side garden in the sunshine with friends and enjoyed a great lunch. Beautifully presented and delicious food. We had Crayfish and avocado sandwich with salad, chips and homemade coleslaw, homemade burgers with marbled cheese and garlic, salad and chips followed by chocolate fondue with fruit and marshmallows, really good cheesecake and coffee. We'll worth a visit. We'll be back!
Quite possibly the best food that I have ever eaten at a pub. In addition to this, there are multiple great beers on tap, and the price of everything is affordable for the level of quality. My photo doesn't do the meal justice. I often get ketchup with my sausages, which I asked for before tasting them. Didn't use a drop!
Used was lovely now Lowering standards and asking for same price for food and beer served outside in plastic is not very fair. Food is ok but the price should be lowered until services return to normal.

A bit cold inside the pub, but the food was nice and there is a lovely atmosphere, the staff were wonderful
First pint in a pub for a while! Lovely to sit in the garden. Good service and covid precautions. But you do need PayPal and a smartphone to order. Shame you can't just say I want a pint and use gpay.
