Seeped in history, with loads of old photographs of the pub over the years. Smartly dressed staff who were all really friendly. The pub has been done up beautifully and has a wonderful dining ambience. Good food at reasonable prices- particularly the lunch menu with a main and dessert/starter for £10.

Lovely rural Lancashire pub recently restored by the owners. Went in for a late afternoon pint and stayed for an early tea. Very friendly and efficient staff and extensive well-priced menu. Real hub for the community with the village shop inside. Accommodation looks excellent too. Minutes from the A6 and M6.

Very nice pub. Huge portions and also great quality. Fresh ingredients. Recommend the burnt ends but to share if for a starter. The steak and ale pie was also great. Crammed with steak and nice pastry.

The Fleece offers the perfect combination of fine dining within cosy dining areas and within a formal restaurant setting. The bar area retains the very best of a country pub, with an open log fire and ample comfortable seating. Also a shop for a good selection of essentials. Fortunate to live so close.

Very lovingly refurbished country inn. Perfect to settle in to on a Sunday afternoon, with a good pint of local ale in hand.
