Great place to visit alone, with family or kids. You can easily spend all day there as the place is massive.
My husband and I visited Kenilworth Castle on one of the Medieval days and it was absolutely brilliant. I’m sure a lot of people miss Kenilworth because it is in semi ruins. Yet English Heritage has done a great job at maintaining the property and making it easy to visualise what it looked like in its original state. The Elizabethan garden and bird Avery were amazing. The exhibit on Queen Elizabeth and Robert Dudley is very interesting and very well laid out easy to follow, the cast that played for mediaeval workers of the Castle. All did a brilliant job. It was both educational, informative and fun, we will definitely be visiting Kenilworth Castle again and plan to take our friends and family there with us, a definite go to when you’re visiting Warwickshire
A beautiful place, well worth a visit.
It’s easy to miss because the sign is hidden in bushes. Free for members. £5 for non-members. Plenty of spaces. Half is paved and the rest is grass. There are 5 reserved spaces for blue badge holders. There is a bit of a walk to the castle entrance but it’s not that far.
It's a good place to go if you're visiting the area for the first time, not so good for the repeat visits, but it's definitely worth going for the bonfire night fireworks!
