Ryton Pools with its two playgrounds is always a hit for families. The one at the visitor center is smaller and it's definitely worth walking around the lake to the other one. The cafe offers a variety of drinks, beverages, cakes and food. It claims to have a vegetarian option for everything on the menu, which is impressive. Not the cheapest in the world, but good quality and friendly staff too. We could only convince the little one to go home again by promising to come back!

Great place to spend a day. A great park for the kids and numerous walks to explore. The cafe is basic but priced fairly

A lovely nature park situated around the remains of an old quarry. Lots of walking and cycling. A decent playground for the kids ( not the one by the carpark, but rather the one situated midway in the centre of the park).

Had a really good walk with my dog. Parking seems expensive, but other than that it's a 5 star from me. Great nature trails, and many hundreds of dog walkers agree.

Great place for a nice walk with your dog or just on your own. Plenty off parking at just £3 with nice cafe and plenty for the kids to be entertained with play areas and adventure areas to explore. Worth a trip.
