Visited this place today for Sunday roast. Most tables were reserved but found a table for the two of us.Ordered roast chicken from the options of beef,pork,lamb & chicken. We had quite a long wait,45 mins,for our food which considering they were not that busy as most of the reserved tables were not taken then was quite a long time. Chicken was off the bone which can always be messy,one long half of a carrot,one small parsnip,cauliflower cheese,peas,broccoli & a couple of roast potatoes with gravy at a price of £11.45 each. The food was served on cold plates which did not help the lukewarm and some nearly cold food. Broccoli looked a bit tired as if it had been around for a while I would suggest not that it was not that fresh. Comparing it to meals we have had elsewhere I would on this occasion say it was not worth the money. Staff were pleasant.

A real old country pub with a great ambience. Fabulous food that was very good value for value for money & excellent service

Nice homemade food in quirky pub. If you find yourself anywhere nearby it's well worth a visit

Food was excellent, when it arrived, but had to wait a long time considering we were only a party of two in a pub with approx only about 12 people in total

Ordered the rump steak, very satisfied with the meal. The wait was a little longer than ideal but arrived unannounced in a large group so this was to be expected.
