Out in the wilds a bit, but popular year round. Now part of the Old English chain with Green King as the principle wet sales provider. So choice will be limited with both food and drink, but what you get will be more than adequate. On the Cask Mark Ale Trail and the host and staff are up market and amiable.

Nice meal, plenty of choice. I visited on Mothering Sunday so it was very busy, but service was reasonably quick and good humoured.

Had to wait 1hr for our meals. Chips were hard steak was chewy. Not happy. Only good thing was desert. But won't be going again.

Fabulous lunch. We chose from around the £5 menu for 3 of us. We all chose different things and all were happy with our portion sizes and good quality. The meal was served with the minimum of waiting time. Local beer was good too.

Reserved a table for 6 on Sat 10th March at 6pm, in the main bar area, but when we arrived we were given a choice to go into the small function area if we wanted more room (our son is in a wheelchair ♿) but we decided to stay in the main area & there was a good atmosphere. We were there to celebrate our Son's 8th Birthday, Mother's Day & my Birthday, which is on the 13th. They allowed us to bring a Helium Balloon 🎈 for the table & a cake 🎂 for our Son & held onto it until the end of our meal. We had Gammon & a Bacon & Cheese Burger 🍔 from the main menu, 2 All Day Breakfasts 🥓🍳🍞 & Ham, Egg 🍳 & Chips 🍟 from the Value Menu & a Child's Menu which was Pizza 🍕, Chips 🍟, salad 🥗, a drink 🥛, a Strawberry YoYo snack & a pudding (fruit) 🍓🍏🍇. All the food was hot, well cooked & very, very tasty. We also had puddings 🍧🍨🍰🍮. When the cake with candles was brought out (no singing 🎶 as our 8 year old, disabled boy, doesn't like 'Happy Birthday' being sung, he's a strange one, lol!) Anyway, the cake came out with plates 🍽️, a knife 🔪, candles🕯️& a Birthday Card ✉️from all the staff, which we thought was a lovely touch. Myself, Mum, Dad, Hubby & 2 sons left very happy & am thinking about going back on my Birthday 🍰🎂 as we were given a voucher for 25% off the main menu. 🤗😋 Would highly recommend The Swan, Tockington.
