The Wellington

About

Brilliant beers - and great food to boot! Not to mention the recently refurbished hotel rooms!

Story

The Welly is a large, detached, traditional red-brick pub at the top of Gloucester Road. It's a much-loved pub that's well known for providing a warm welcome and great service. The guest rooms in The Wellington have just undergone a major refurbishment with extra rooms added, and Bath Ales is now able to offer excellent boutique-style accommodation, ranging from double and twin rooms to king size rooms with ensuite facilities. Quality never goes out of fashion.

Decent pub that you can't really miss if you've lived in or around Bristol for any length of time given the prominent position on the crossroads. The food is good and the staff friendly. A good bet for large groups if you are looking for a stop on your way into town as there are plenty of tables and nooks in the old place.

Much improved since my last visit, admittedly a few years ago. The outdoor seating is a very nice touch. The pub has a very nice feel about it now with a good atmosphere. Really liking the new decor. A very good menu far away from the generic chain pub menus and a good range of beers. Friendly bar staff

One of the best pubs on Gloucester road. Really nice upscale pub, the food here is very very nice in particular the roasts. Be expected to pay a bit more here but its well worth the extra money. Service is friendly and welcoming, they serve traditional bath ales drinks so its all in all a decent pub.
