I was very happy with the quality of the advice that we received for our upcoming travel. It enabled us to spend quite a lot of money on good quality rucksacks boots etc knowing what the difference was between the cheaper and the more expensive options. Connor was the kind and very helpful and informative sales person/manager who turned what was supposed to be a 'browsing and thinking about it' visit into a confident purchase of £800 worth of quality gear that will do the right job. Thank you for your time and energy :)

Just visited the Tottenham Court Road branch and came out almost crying ! Worst shopping experience ever. Called to have 2 camping beds reserved. Rushed to get there before closing and was told that they had been sold and there was as only 1 left ! No apologies. Waited patiently to be served whilst witnessing a very aggressive Manager getting very stressed by the queue and disrespectful to customers. Then came my turn. My bill came to £10.63 and although I presented £20 he refused to serve me because according to him there was only 50p and 20p coins in the till. I became very emotional to the point shoppers started to look for change to help me out. One lady gave me the 63p missing. The Manager remained arrogant throughout this incident. Whilst the junior staff felt sorry for me and apologised for his behaviour. So upsetting and unnecessary. But most of all such a bad image for the brand.

They have some good discounts at the moment and so we stepped in to have a look and am glad we did. The customer service was excellent. If you give them your email address and accept to them sending the bill to you by email, you are then entitled to a 15% discount next time you shop with them. Credit cards accepted including Amex.

I enjoyed my time at blacks. When i tried on several pairs of walking boots i got to test them out on several surfaces such as rocks, sand, wood and peoples faces. I then ran out singing the new noel gallagher song whilst also carving a wooden welsh love spoon. I highly recommend Blacks
