My stay at Cresta Court a few weeks ago was fantastic. All of the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful, and I have no complaints whatsoever regarding my room and the food in the restaurant. I’ve stayed here multiple times in the past as it’s very handy when travelling from Manchester airport. Will continue to use the Cresta Court hotel for the foreseeable future!
A great stay! Booked a meeting room to do some training and the team went above and beyond. I had spoken to the events team in the morning who could tell i was under the weather and they had put a get well gift basket in my room. Such a lovely touch. The bedroom was great to work in the night prior, the meeting room was set perfectly with car parking right outside.
If I could give negative stars, I would.nWas booked to stay here for 2 night for the Manchester Marathon this weekend, turned up at 8pm tonight to check in only to face some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Was told very abruptly and with no apology there was no room ready and that bizarrely the ‘room was unsafe’ yet when we asked why, we were repeatedly told ‘I can’t tell you’ by the very angry lady behind the desk chin piercing & glasses. She could not tell me how long it would be to sort and did not once offer an apology. She then dramatically stormed off for 20 minutes claiming she was finding a manager who never appeared.nThe angry receptionist returned to tell me a room was ready and had been ‘cleaned by a colleague’ after issues with housekeeping. She still would not explain what had been ‘unsafe’ about it and what her earlier dramatics were about. As a result of mainly her attitude, I correctly refused to sign for the room until I saw it myself. On going up to the room I shockingly found I had been given key cards to an already occupied room with belongings all over the bed. Thankfully I didn’t walk in on a poor unsuspecting guest sat on the toilet.nOn returning to the desk, the angry receptionist seemed exasperated that I had issue with being given the keys to an occupied room. As if it was me at fault and not her incredibly shocking customer service.nThen while stood around waiting yet again for a manager I watched an older white couple receive a very different reception to me. I hate to pull the race card, but to be honest it’s hard not to.nFast forward another 20minutes and I finally found a supervisor who was at least polite, apologetic and appeared to understand customer service. By this point there was no way I was staying in this hotel. I was gratefully issued a cancellation and refund. Honestly I’d rather sleep in my car but thankfully I have family in Manchester I can stay with.nI understand it’s a busy weekend for the hotel, and the receptionist is stressed I’m sure. I understand stress, I’m an A&E Consultant. But I would never speak to someone how I was spoken to this evening, and if I did I would know it’s time for me to leave that job!
I had the most wonderful experience at Best Western Cresta Court Hotel! The exemplary service and attention to detail truly made my stay memorable. The warm greeting from reception staff, especially Yoyo, made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. Room is a bit tired and no make up service unless request, however overall level of service exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend to anyone and looking forward to my next visit!
My wife and I stayed here with our 3 year old and the dog to see family members February 23- 25 2024. We stayed in room 146.nnThe parking is okay, spaces are very small but there is ample parking. I do think the hotel should probably sort out the old fashioned parking spaces as they aren’t really suitable but that’s another matter!nnA nice little dog water bowl at entry with some biscuits, I thought it was a nice touch and a very clean area.nnThe staff were very friendly, well presented and professional. The bar area and foyer very clean. There is a lift or option of stairs. Both fine. Finding our room was easy and the key cards worked first time. The back of the door upon entry to the rooms was a bit grubby and needs painting. As we entered the room we were happy. The bathroom was very clean. Shower was okay. Shampoos and bath gels provided The carpet was decent. Bed looked very comfy and clean the furnishings in the room were all in good condition. We had a sofa bed which was folded out to a double. It was fine, not the most comfortable thing in the word but served its purpose. The tele was a good size but lacked channels. The WiFi was very good no issues there at all. There was a kettle, two cups with spoons a kettle and a coffee machine with some pods. The room had a hair dryer a wardrobe with hangers and a little dressing table. Inside the wardrobe was a fan and a safe. The rooms do get very hot! That’s with no heating on. couldn’t see any air con in our room There is some minor noise from the road however it’s not an issue. The town is centre was a 5 minute walk. There is a park which is 5 minutes away from the hotel with a children’s park and plenty of space away from the road to walk your dog if needed.nWe had a slight issue with children on a school trip being extremely noisy over two nights however once reception were aware they dealt with this really quickly.nLocal transport links into Manchester are very close by and plenty of places to eat out if needed close by. Would definitely use this hotel again in the future.
