I stayed at the hotel for a work visit. It is very tastefully done, spacious and very fresh. The staff were cheerful and welcoming- and upon swift check-in, i was shown to my room. The room was very spacious, and clean. The temperature and heating appears to be centrally controlled- so there are no individual thermostats in the room which is completely fine.nThe bar is nice and well-equipped for both cold and hot drinks. The restaurant also serves dinner with limited options.nThe lounge of the hotel is so tastefully done and cosy.nThe breakfast was served after the table- was hot- and delicious vegan breakfast. There are also juice, water, other small bits laid out for self-help. Coffee was promptly available upon asking.nAll in all, it is was a wonderful stay, very comfortable, and i wont hesitate to stay with them again. 10/10 points for everything.
I attended a recent event, cosy venue, nice rooms large fridges. Toilets are a bit hard to find downstairs, and small in size but lovely amenities are provided.nMissed breakfast, unfortunately .nI've rated the location 5 stars as my mate Rowenut reminded me and my wife it's close to the airport on numerous occasions without us asking .nThe smoking area could be better.nThe service was excellent, Night Ian x
I had a lovely stay yesterday in room 25 and had a warm welcome from the staff. Grateful for the lovely touch in printing out my presentation notes. Would highly recommend it. I loved the fish and chips. Clean environment and had a lovely sleep.
I stayed here for one night for a working visit. My first impressions of the hotel were excellent - fairly limited parking but there were still some spaces, even arriving quite late in the evening. The building itself is a lovely Victorian villa, with an impressive entrance hall. Check-in was quick and efficient, and I was in my room soon after arriving.nnI had apparently been upgraded for free - the room was very impressive, in a luxurious boutique style, with a large bath in the room. There was plenty of space, seating, pleasant warm lighting and a good if slightly expensive mini-bar selection. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate were free.nnUnfortunately, despite the luxury of the room, I had a really bad night's sleep for two reasons. The first is really personal preference so I don't want to mark the hotel down - but the bed was very soft, and the pillows even softer, which made them very difficult to mould into a comfortable and supportive position. The second reason I slept badly was the temperature of the room. Despite the radiator and towel rail being off, and the window being wide open, the room was really hot and did not cool much overnight. The whole hotel was overly warm for me - especially the breakfast room. After a night in my hot room, and a hot shower, I was really overheating during breakfast.nnBreakfast itself was very nice - mostly table service, with a very small buffet with some pastries, juice, fruit and cereal. I was a bit worried about waiting for table service since I had to get into my office by a set time, but it was very quiet and service was quick so I had no problems.nnI would probably choose another local hotel if I had to re-visit, but that is really because of my preference for bed/pillow comfort, and temperature. If you aren't too sensitive about these things, then this is an absolutely perfect hotel and a real joy to stay in.
Didn't stay here, but attended a private dining event with work. Though some colleagues stayed and said it was lovely. Beautiful hotel, staff lovely and food was excellent. I have been previously to a family wedding which was a lovely setting.
