Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons

About

Nestled in the picturesque Oxfordshire village of Great Milton and created by Raymond Blanc, Le Manoir is renowned as one of Britain's finest gastronomic and hotel experiences.

Story

"Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons is the fulfilment of a personal vision, a dream that one day I would create a hotel and restaurant in harmony where my guests would find perfection in food, comfort, service and welcome."

Raymond Blanc O.B.E.

Le Manoir is renowned as one of Britain's finest gastronomic experiences. It is also one of the country's most intimate and original hotels, with 32 individually designed guest rooms.

Created by celebrated chef Raymond Blanc, Le Manoir has been delighting guests since 1984. A year later it was awarded two Michelin stars, which it has now held for a remarkable 27 years.

Surrounded by lawns, flower borders and orchards, Le Manoir enjoys an idyllic setting. But beyond the eye-catching displays are vegetable and herb gardens that provide the kitchen with ultra-fresh, and often exotic, produce that helps keep the kitchens at the cutting edge of taste.

I stayed here with my partner for 2 nights which is probably too long. One night would have been better. It is opulent and everything has been thought of. The food is excellent but they fill you up with bread. very good cheese board and puddings. Rooms are beautiful. BUT it is eye-wateringly expensive for what it is. We paid £2,500 for the 2 nights without even trying, in a standard room!! Full English breakfast is £35 for a cup of coffee half a tomato, a spoonful of chopped mushrooms, one sausage and two eggs (albeit free range). £85 for a bottle of English Chardonnay which you can buy from the vineyard for £30!! I know they have to make a living but........ Won't go again. There are better places much more reasonably priced.

Amazing experience with world class food. We also had a walk around the kitchen garden (which is allowed) which was fascinating. One of the gardeners have us a very interesting and brief tour of what was growing in the greenhouse. A wonderful day!

I covered a 40th Birthday at Le manor aux Quat'Saisons in Autumn 2016. The building itself is fabulous. We had the use of a lovely glass roofed room amongst others which was perfect. The food was to a very high standard however, not the least expensive place you could eat. There are many places in the grounds ideal for photo opportunities and a lovely river. In short a perfect setting for any event or a dinner date. Vanessa J White

My husband and I went for the one day cookery classes and we took the opportunity to spend a couple of nights at the Manoir. Everything from the food to the accommodation was excellent. The setting is stunning. The staff is professional and friendly. They would go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and you can clearly see the passion for what they do and the commitment to deliver the greatest customer experience. We will certainly come back and we will take also our children with us (we were very happy to learn that children are more than welcomed at the Manoir).

Totally amazing experience. 7 course every last morsel was delicious. Staff have honed to perfection the art of being professional & approachable so that the whole experience is relaxed & enjoyable. We were there for 4 hours & it flew by. The gardens are impressive too though unfortunately the weather wasn't so good on the day we visited. A wonderful bucket list event for me
