Pleasantly surprised by this charming traditional pub. We had an evening meal here & it was not bad at all. The menu was limited however we were made to feel very welcome & all 6 of us that work within high end retail were very impressed by the lady that served us (sorry we didn't get your name) she was amazing & her service was outstanding.

Great service and staff are excellent. The building and rooms are lovely. My gripe is that car parking is only available for the higher priced rooms. If you hire a small/ cheaper room, the nearest car parking is several minutes away by foot and rather inconvenient. I noticed the hotel’s parking spaces were not all used during my stay yet I was still unable to use one. Rather irritating and not a great message given to paying guests. That’s my rant over as the staff were excellent as well as the room, food and service.

Did not have anything without dairy or meat except a salad without dressing. Did not like that. They also took a long time to serve because my husband had a starter and they do not start to cook the food unless you finish starter. Our time was limited, they did not explain their policy and in the end we ate very quickly and did not enjoy our food.

Lovely river view room, quite a large bathroom.. Pub is nice, staff are very pleasant. Location is ideal.. Would recommend

Not bad. Nice pub by the river. Food was good, but expensive especially for fish and chips. Small section of beers on tap, however were nice.
