Beautiful building and setting.nUpon entry, we were not welcomed, and had to ask for restaurant directions.nOn arriving in the restaurant, we said we booked our reservation under name ‘x’ and was told did we book under another name, which was needless as we were quite specific under the name we booked under. We were made to feel uncomfortable, and as if we did something wrong. That aside, the restaurant has a lovely interior, and grand bar area. However, the scene was quite chaotic with waiting staff being unduly noisy with the clanging of plates, cutlery, cups and the like. This problem was made worse as for some reason they have a cutlery and utensil station next to the dining tables.nI can only speak for ordering the rump steak for our table, which despite a nice taste was served cold. I did not expect this from this from the restaurant. The beef while cold was served with nice potatoes and vegetables. Overall, experience was not a pleasant one, staff need retraining in service.
Had a meal here to celebrate my sister's graduation. The food was excellent and actually not that expensive considering the grandeur of the place and the attentiveness of the waiting staff.nnAidan was particularly excellent, attentive but not overbearing. Very knowledgeable of the menu and gave us some great suggestions.nnWill definitely come again!
Truly fantastic hotel. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Couldn’t have asked for more. Stunning bar and rooms. Good and drink were amazing! Lovely breakfast in a lovely restaurant. Perfection!
This is my second time staying at the Randolph. My experience across both stays has been consistent: posh atmosphere, helpful staff, and very comfortable rooms. I love the central location, and all the little amenities like tea service and towel warmers in the rooms make the visit feel special. Particular thanks this time to Kunal, who helped me check in early after a rough morning of travel, and made me feel very well cared-for.
Fantastically looking hotel. I only have dined here and had drinks but the service is amazing; cocktails are lovely and an ambience is amazing.nProbably the best hotel in Oxford. Definitely planning to come back and stay overnight
