Today, Sunday 13th October, we called in with the chance of getting a table. With success we ordered a couple of drinks with roast dinners. The service was really good and the food arrived very quickly. It was one of the best roast dinners we have eaten. Definitely would recommend a visit.Food: 5/5
Really relaxing pub. Modern casual decor, with a covered outside area to eat. The food was excellent. Great service our waitress Soph was very attentive. Reasonable prices. Nice toilets, with thoughtful touches in the ladies' toilets. A small car park, but on the road parking just nearby. Southampton Common is just next door - a great place for a walk. Would highly recommend.
Food would be 4.5 rating because it was tasty but a small bit smaller than expected. The place is great, and I could try local british cuisine in a good environment. It was tasty and fries were crispy. Desert was also very nice, nice chocolate and good balance with the icecream:3
My Mum and I had another lovely meal. The staff were really attentive. It was quite soon after opening so the pub wasn't that busy, but the staff were all keeping busy cleaning shelves and woodwork before the busy bit kicked in. Special mention to James behind the bar who took the time to have a chat with my Mum. The server recommended the pesto chicken, which Mum went on to have. She said it was really tasty. We'll be back.
We stopped off for a quick evening meal and a drink on a busy Sunday evening. The wait for the food was OK taking into consideration we arrived just 20 minutes before the kitchen closed. The food itself was fine, nothing outstanding but equally nothing wrong at all. The waitress was pleasant. We did have to clear our own table to sit, but the evening quiz was in full progress at the time. Parking: Parking on site requires you to enter your vehicle registration. Don't forget or you WILL get a fine as the parking area is managed by a 3rd party.
Delicious food and drinks with quick service, reasonably priced. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The pub had a great atmosphere and the quiz is a must, would definitely recommend!Food: 4/5

The only disadvantage here is its proximity to the road which makes it a bit noisy, but I knew this when I arrived. All the rest is very positive. I was surprised that I had to order myself at the bar, but that's not a problem as everything was brought at the table. The service was very good as they all gave the impression to be concerned by their job! Another VERY important thing is the food, of course . I didn't taste them but the French/Belgian fries where the best looking I have seen during my whole 3weeks stay on GB: good size, good colour... The 'confit de canard' I had was a real masterpiece of cooking. I would come back to Southampton for this sole reason.
Standard Greene King menu in a pleasant setting. Tables are well spaced and there's a nice variety of comfortable seating. Food was pleasant but nothing special and service restricted to delivery of food and drinks - competent but impersonal. Overall an average pub lunch in a slightly above average setting. Parking: About a dozen spaces plus two disabled and two e-chargers. Note reg at the bar or risk fine. Very restricted street parking nearby.
A nice suburban Southampton pub. Clean, spacious, and would suit anyone from someone popping in for a pint or a family meal. Nice decor. Friendly staff who know how to serve beer and chat. Parking and easy access. Like it! Parking: Right next door. Good size lots.
