Amazing food and great beer
I stayed in an apartment a few metres away and when I saw the sign in the door I had to go in see photo. Interesting place. Pleasant service. Good beer. We didn't eat, but the food looked 'hearty'.
We visited a few years ago so I'm not sure if its still run by the same bloke. He spoiled the visit a little by talking about himself continually. Some of it was a bit muffled: he's that far up his own backside.

I love this characterful pub.Wartime food served to perfection Older world, right next to city walls.

What a great pub. Good beer surrounded by genuine old world memorabilia. The lease is up for sale in June 2019!
