Lovely little find on our first visit to Chester. Beautiful building steeped in history. Very good range of beers & ales. Very welcoming staff and friendly service. Limited menu, but well executed. What we had was very nice.
probably the best pub for a decent pint and food in Chester. menu is interesting, varied, and always changing. had lunch today and the soup was delicious

The food and beer were so good. The staff attentive and friendly. Downside the steps up to the pub, but, if you make the climb it's well worth it.

When you walk in, it has the wow factor! Massive main room with original features, it's stunning. Great selection of ales and at a superb price. Highly recommended
Great beer. My only problem is that I couldn't get served with a beer whilst perusing the menu. Covid gone mad!!!!
