Just stayed here with friends for the weekend. Great service from all staff nothing was too much trouble especially Sally and Alana. Breakfast and meals we had there was delicious especially the sharing platter Sunday roast those Yorkshire’s yummy. The setting was beautiful and the rooms were tasteful decorated. It was nice seeing the rowers on the river. Fabulous weekend we will be back next December with our friends again. Thank you Boathouse for a grand weekend. Regards Christine
We went to the pub on a crisp winters day to enjoy the views over the water but we're enticed inside by their roaring fire. We had the mulled wine which was made fresh that morning and it was one of the nicer mulled wines we have ever had. Very sweet.Service: 5/5
Went for food. Sat inside but had a fantastic table next to the river, excellent view watching the boats and the wildlife. The place inside has so many books and trinkets to look at, has a lovely feel so welcoming and interesting, so clean and tidy. Our food came quickly and was delicious and well priced. But the best part of our visit was our waitress sallyann! Super friendly, knew the menu and wines, so welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and she has a pigeon called pegglet which we found out through her amazing customer service. She was amazing cant thank her enough
We two families with children popped in on Saturday and were delighted to find a cosy and warm place to have snacks and beers. The staff were warn and friendly, food and snacks ordered were nice, beers great and atmosphere jovial and review of River Dee. Costs were reasonable. Highly recommended!Service: 5/5
My husband, myself and our dog Lola had a delicious lunch here today. Its great that it's dog friendly inside and out. Thanks to our waiter Tom for finding honey for my tea Can't wait to return!
Beautiful location with a fantastic food and drinks venue. We tipped up without a reservation and with a dog on a Friday lunchtime and couldn't have been made to feel more welcome the food was top notch and decently priced too. Highly recommend but I doubt you'd get away with just tipping up in the summer
Lovely place just outside of the centre - a beautiful 10 minute walk into town. Gorgeous new room in the buildings next to the pub, very clean, staff friendly and a good breakfast too. Would stay again happily!Rooms: 5/5
Had a great stay the rooms are lovely and newly decorated, very comfortable and spotlessly clean, great choice of food in the restaurant and catered well for gluten free, reasonably priced, we had Eve serving both nights and she was super friendly, nothing was too much trouble, great service. We would definitely stay here again.Rooms: 5/5
On arrival all good, found Ants in room, reported to staff who said they would rectify by asking housekeeping to spray, on return to room, no evidence of spraying, still live ants and some squashed ones from night before that had squashed...so no evidence of floor being vacuumed, mopped or sprayed No housekeeping on second day, so no replenishment of tea tray or toiletries as we had the previous stay, had to request extra coffee and milk, which was provided. First morning for breakfast we were informed that the chef had walked out and it was apparent as breakfast products not replenished,... Staff did try their best under the circumstances. Rooms are lovely but a little warm for the warmer months, fan is fine for the daytime however would be too noisy to sleep with it running... Overall stay this time a little on the disappointing side...
Nice room as you'd expect. Great food, efficient, friendly staff. Bar/restaurant by the river - great! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Rooms: 5/5
