I love this pub. It's just like going back in time. The beatiful interior must be Victorian. It's just great. The people there are interesting to talk to and it's well run.
Historic pub between the centre of Chester and the river. The staff are friendly and quick to serve. There is a great choice od beers, gin and wine. The surrounds are pleasant and interesting. They accept cards too. Will call again next time I am in Chester.
Not only a friendly place for a pint but a distinctive venue as well with beautiful mid-brown wood fittings, stained glass and the inimitable Joule's signage. The layout is well put together and despite plenty of competition in the city for business you could do much worse than popping by here.
Really great pub. The interior décor will have you mesmerized while drinking one of their fabulous real ales. They also have a great selection of beers. Kids allowed until 8m

The most beautiful old Joules pub. Gorgeous wooden panels inside, cosy feel, stained glass windows - attached a pic of my favourite one. The staff in there are always so welcoming and fun!
