A dealer you can trust. We have bought an 2004 VW tuaran. He is professional dealer and a man with a ward. After more than three months, I am writing this review. I can give him more than 5 stars.
Excellent customer service, no fraud commitment and also understand the customer situations and requirements that's help us to maintain a good relationship with them.
Buying my daughters first car from Wigston Autos and I was extremely impressed with every step of the process. From the first phone call through to the car being delivered the service was first class. They went above and beyond what I would consider to be good service and his communication was excellent throughout and made the process easy. I would highly recommend Wigston Autos and I would not hesitate to buy from them again. Thank you Francois.
Very pleased with the car we bought from Francois. There were a few minor issues which were subsequently dealt with efficiently and promptly. We would have no hesitation in buying another car from Wigston Autos.
Friendly and professional staff coupled with a worthy three months warranty by the AA and a one year AA road side cover. Most small garages claim to provide warranty until you need them but an AA warranty, allowing repairs at approved garages, is a much better option in my experience. One of the very few garages that followed up after my initial enquiry. I would deal with them again and would recommend them.
The customer service is excellent and staff is very helpful and very nice
I bought a VW Passat . I could see it had a very poor and backyard respray in places. The description online said full service history, pity it was nowhere to be found. It had a recent m.o.t, it passed with no advisories despite one bald tyre on the inside, windscreen wash motor faulty, snow tyres front on 4mm tread and rears on 3mm, 2 large chips centre to passenger side of windscreen, rear brake pads low and all 4 discs pitted and scored with one caliper binding, one wire from the abs hanging loose with no socket on as well as engine light being reset prior to purchase due to faulty lambda sensor and 2 x damaged catalytic converters costing £300 for cheap replacements. There's no way possible it passed emissions in that condition as it travelled 1 mile only after the m.o.t. The car has air con but was out of gas, one key only and 3 doors had loose hinges just requiring a tension bolt tightening on each door. I asked if the car had been serviced and the oil level correct and got a yes. Unsurprisingly the oil was low and the last service was around 2 years ago thankfully by a VW dealer useing a Long life service. The car had fumes left only and a garage was 3 minutes up the road thankfully. I've had a engine warning light come on the second day and was advised to use a fuel additive to clear the catalytic converter?....or destroy it more likely. A good car now that I've sorted new tyres, brakes right round including 4 new calipers, the washer motor and a full service, tracking and balancing and wirebrushed and treated the front snd rear suspension . Both catalytic converters replaced as both were damaged despite the low mileage. All I can say is buyer beware. I bought the car as it's what I wanted despite the owner of the Buisness not being honest and upfront. I've bought from a VW dealership before and had a similar experience so it all comes down to the reputation used car salesman have of being dishonest. As for that 1 month warranty, the jokes on you if you fall for that old joke. Im loving my car but i knew what to expect and what I would have to do, another person trusting the owner to sell them a reliable car would not be so lucky. Bare in mind you have to tax and insure the car so you'd lose lots of money if the car is a dud. Use a free app called Vehicle Check to see a cars full m.o.t history, any advisories about headlight out of alignment means the car is front end accident damaged. Advisories will show all faults and failures etc. Dont be scammed. This car has a timing chain, if you decide to risk buying a car here then make sure you have written proof of that belt being changed and inspect it yourself. My advice is to steer clear and buy from a reputable Buisness. He claims to be part of the AA dealer promise......well I have fairies living in my loft. That m.o.t you get will be dodgy just like the story line about good quality cars available.
Arraged to see a car, spoke some details by email, travelled from far to view to find out they're closed, didnt know I was coming, don't have the car, come back a different time. Before going to see a car make sure you get more proof other than just the ad on there website.
Excellent Service, they sorted a small fault with the air con and gave the car a full years MOT. Lots of communication and an AA warranty.
Avoid by all means!! If I could give no stars I would, after looking at many car sale places we came across abbey car centre the guy seem genuine and his wife seemed like a good place to be we brought toyota Capello verso wr55fyf after the first week cops pulled me over for white smoke coming out of back of car which I thought wasn't right and cops confirmed it so took it back and he changed an injector and it wasn't that and smoke didn't stop he couldn't find problems took it a few garages and told me it wouldn't be injectors as no where in Leicester would check them went county diesel in Leicester and they cleaned cat out and semi fix it for about week and had to go main dealers toyota which it was then the EGR value and needed updating after about 3 weeks engine warning light came on and was in limp mode and back to toyota in end it needed DPF new one 720 and with VAT would rise to about thousand so in end took car back. Don't get me wrong he would pay for work as under warranty but then when car was at these places getting fix or texting calling he wouldn't answer phone put it down on me or just wouldnt answer, it went 6 places to get fixed lovely car but he knew it had problems and never sorted them to begin with after the 2 half months I had car I must of only driven for 3 weeks honestly spent most of time in garage and when u have children and places to be and you need a car my kids are always in hospital for really bad illnesses. I got a coursty car once of him and it wasn't road worthy had bad oil leak and run down tyres were badly worn out he knew bout that I didn't even use it couldn't put my kids In death trap and what the best part is he's put the car back out for sale so sorry for going on every one but please think about what your doing don't make same mistake I did
