Had a great stay at this Yotel. Had the First Class King room so had plenty of room to spread out. Liked that the sofa bed was already made up when we arrived plus there was extra couch and chair seating also. Free coffee and tea in lobby and got a free £10 bar voucher since we didn't want housekeeping. Only weird quirk was the shower stall opening up into the rest of the room. We made it work but a curtain or room divider would have been helpful. Overall loved the location and staff was helpful.
Rooms were strange, with no tea or coffee making facilities but free tea and coffee in the bar, but when you are 5 floors up, not great. Could not turn off fan in the room as they were air-tight . The shower and toilet were glass cubicles that stepped out into the room in front of a massive window. The window did have a blind but it was total darkness. The sink was in the room.nIt was very clean, and the bed was comfortable but very high.
Love this hotel. Room was large, bed was comfy and had power incline. Toilet and shower setup was quite modern. Bar was lovely, and breakfast was terrific. Staff was incredible - so helpful! Would absolutely book here again next time I'm in Edinburgh.
The hotel is well situated to walk to most locations in EdinburgnThe bathroom facilities were more style than substance, with the shower and toilet built into glass boxes, whilst the sink is in the bedroom. This looks good but isn't very practical to my mind.nAll in all very good
+ I cannot rave enough about this place. The room size and amenities were perfect for a single traveler. A lot of consideration went into the design of the hotel and rooms; more so than other hotels I recently stayed in. From the self-check in to the USB outlets built into the wall, the adjustable bed and the high luggage stand, I have officially become a Yotel regular. Did I mention the incredible smelling products from Urban Jungle. The location was also incredibly convenient and within walking distance of so much. Only a 13 minute walk to Dean Village and a 7 minute walk to Princess Street Gardens.nn- The walls were incredibly thin and I could hear everything and anything from both sides of my room. After several hours into the night of hearing loud music banging through the wall, I had to call the front desk to complain about the noise. Wouldn't have been a huge deal if I wasn't heading out and hitting the road at 5 am the following morning. As I was checking out, I also overheard a lady complaining to the receptionist that all night she heard a couple arguing from a room across the hall from hers.
