Honestly some of these other reviews are wildin’ on here. People are mad that they can’t go on vacation in their own house. Our stay at this Moxy was quite lovely, and far better than some other locations in which I have been to!nnTo me the space is perfect, well organized, and easy to hang things as per the set up. Bathroom is adequate with good water pressure. Hotel was surprisingly quiet and bed comfy. The attitude of the staff was nothing but helpful, professional, and very accommodating. I would recommend to stay here at this location for value of the stay.nnBONUS points for Halloween decor. You guys nailed it
A great stay. Rooms are a bit small, but completely functional. Otherwise, the hotel was very clean and nicely decorated.nnThe hotel let us check in super early after arriving from a long day of travel, which was very appreciated.nnAbout a 10 minute walk from the tram, and an easy 1 mile walk to the centre of Edinburgh.
If i could give zero star i would. The only positive about this place is the location. Is great to get around to tourist attraction spot. Other than that is aweful.nnThe room is so hot and even so many people had complaint about this and the management still did not do anything about it. You can't control the temperature of the room. When you open the window is a tiny gap with zero airflow. It is impossible to get any good night rest at all.nnThen lets talk aboyt breakfast they say is from 6am -10am. Went there at 8am, nothing much left on the table. You have this sad looking scramble egg,either there is sausage there no bacon or the other way round. Rotten fruits were serve in the salad bar, bread stale and also stale pastry.. it is horrible. Empty food container no one bother to fill it up. Is like war zone situation when you see the breakfast area. Whats left is like scrap for customer. Staff seen standing around chatting. No one bother about the customer at all.nnAnd to think we choose this because is under Marriots name. Dont be deceive it is not like that, and to charge this kind of price. You might as well go else where there are plenty of place to choose in Edinburgh. Shame on you!! Even premier Inn breakfast is better than here.nnWrote to the manager and no reply at all. Came here and stay for 1 week to celebrate my birthday. Defininitely it was ruin.. avoid at all cost!
My room at the Moxy Edinburgh Fountainbrige was comfortable and quiet, so ideal for my requirements other than the lack of a full-sized desk.nThat said, the lobby area is a pleasant place to sit and work.nThe breakfast buffet was very good, offering a selection of pastries, cooked dishes and continental choices.
We didn’t have the best welcome we’ve ever had at a hotel. The room 250 was in a very good condition, except for the bathroom lock. But it was the only problem we encountered. From there everything went from fair to very good. The location of the hotel is excellent, it has two supermarkets and bakery nearby and just outside there are bus stops for 3 bus lines 1, 34, 35. The stuff was friendly and helpful except the welcome. There is room for improvement in cleanliness although it is not a big problem. Breakfast 06:00-10:00 was a buffet but had almost anything you could ask for. There is a menu which is served from 10:00 to 22:00 and a bar all night. To conclude, the hotel is VFM and I definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to the amazing city of Edinburgh.
